Laura&James - thanks for the feedback, you actually were one of the people who started convincing me in the beginning to look into Deanne and after looking into it I couldn't find any negative feedback on her and from personal exp in asking a few questions through email I love how prompt she was and seemed very helpful. We struggled a bit between Nancy and Marbelle but I think we're going to go with marbelle. How did you find her to work with? I love the photo's she takes but I also want to be sure that it's not just posed pics and also able capture the moment in the ceremony and also the more conventional wedding photo's - I guess I'm hoping for a good mix. Did you find you got a good variety with your pics? Stacey - which photographer did you choose to go with?

Hi Ladies..... congrats to both of you on your engagement!!!! I haven't booked with any one coordinator but I've been doing a whole lot of emailing and internet scouting. My experience so far is that Deanne from Precious Maui Weddings is very on top of things with no beating around the bush on her costs and who she deals with and gets back to you right away - alway's within the day. I emailed Paradise Maui Weddings yesterday to ask some detailed questions and have yet to hear back from them. I realize my wedding is over a year away but it's worrisome if I were to put all of my eggs in their basket - would this be the urgency I would get then as well while planning?? So far I think I'm set on Precious Maui Weddings because of Deanne and all of her rave reviews but I'd still like to see what else is out there before booking. I'll keep you posted on any other info I get.

I'd love to hear any feedback you have on either of these companies - positive or negative. I've seen a few comments on Deanne, mostly really good but I'd love to hear the feedback on all services provided with these two company's - coordinator themselves, officiants and photographers. I can't decide between these two companies and would be great to hear some real, personal experiences. Thanks in advance Crystal

Weiky - We haven't actually set a date for our wedding yet. Does your photographer have a website I can check out?? Blkrevpower - I agree, here I thought I was gonna save by going away for our wedding LOL. Photographer is turning out to be much more expensive than I originally planned for. I'm so afraid of getting something to save a little money and then end up with no photo's of my wedding day - that would be horrible. I think I too will end up paying the extra for someone with a good reputation.

Tlseege - thanks for the tip, I will definitely look into that! I didn't realize how tough it was going to be to find the photographer. I thought I was jumping the gun on starting so soon but holy, this could take forever ronsoliman - that would be great of you to send some pics!!!!! Thank you! I'm assuming you must travel to do your photography?

Has anyone used Frank Baranik for their photography?? He seems to have a decent priced package - almost too good to be true compared to many others out there? Also, has anyone planned their Maui wedding w/out using a coordintor or planner??

OOPS - how embarassing...... my title should say "weeding" through websites not wedding, and I can't figure out how to change it and another tidbit of useful info would be that we are most likely staying in Kihei and are looking at Makena Cove as our destination

Hi all, I'm so happy to have stumbled across this forum!! We are planning a Maui wedding for May 2011 - I know it's a way's away yet but I thought I would at least start the process of narrowing down a photographer...... super important part of the day. There are so many out there and so many different packages I'm overwhelmed already LOL. I'm trying to stay within a reasonable budget of around $500 or so (We are not having a formal reception and our thoughts at this point is to find a photographer to just do a 1 hr (maybe longer) photo shoot of us in our wedding attire on the beach we were just married on after the ceremony. I have found some great galleries but pricing seems to be in the $1000's and the packages very small. If the photographer is amazing and has some great reviews w/ a good package I am willing to budge on cost but at this point I know nothing of these photographers and afraid I could easily be "had" by booking something online. Any feedback you have would be much appreciated. Thanks a bunch!!!
