You can just come right out and say it so they get the idea. Usually it is something like this ... We have arranged a special rate for all of our guests through (travel business name). Deposits must be received by (date) and can be made by calling (travel agent name) at (phone number/email).

I wonder if you somehow wrangled them into a mesh or paper bag, put in a few dryer sheets and shook them up, the static would go away? (Not in the dryer unless you know 100% that they wouldn't melt). Might be a way to save them?

I got just a couple golf clubs as a gift for my husband (back in the day) almsot 10 years later and they were just replaced this year ... however the golf clubs will reside in my rarely-used golf bag, so they're still around ; )
