We enjoyed it for days! That is what I decided to do. It is going to be easier to let the hotel handle the cake. They will not charge a cutting fee and I am confident that the cake will taste good.
  2. There are so many factors. It took a matrix for me to figure out what was the best mix that matched the experience that we wanted. I opted for a hotel wedding and restaurant dinner reception with an after party in a hotel suite. It was important for everything to be all in one place that everyone was not bouncing all over Vegas.

Their web site says the mostly do cup cakes, but if you go into their flicker they do all sorts of cakes. their delivery fee is $20.00 as well so that was cheaper then freeds. I dunno check it out, and see what you think. If you shoot them off an email, make sure you check your junk mail folder for a response, as I know that is where their response went to, and it took me like a week to figure it out. Hopefully that helps, if you find any other great places, could you be a doll and let me know. I spend the last 2 weeks trying to gather pricing and quotes, but sometimes more heads are better then one. Thanks for the tip! I will let you know what I come up with as well.
  5. I would suggest looking at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab. I have heard nothing but good reviews about their service and food. That is where we are going for our welcome dinner.
  6. Hello All, I am trying to find recommendations for good bakeries in Vegas. I was going to check out the hotel for the wedding cake, but I wanted to compare prices, design and taste. We must have a good tasting cake, even if it is not visually fancy. I was checking out Freed's who have amazing looking cakes, but their reviews are mixed. Any other suggestions?

I was looking at the ESPN Zone for the Friday night welcome dinner. Let me know what you find out. I have yet to call.
  8. Thanks everyone! @ juliepfeif - Cool! I actually work in Wilmington. =)
  9. Hi All! I am new to the forum. I just got engaged on Christmas Day '09. I have been daydreaming about a Vegas wedding for a while now so I am excited to get to the planning stage. I have done some digging and figured out that you can have an elegant and classy wedding in Las Vegas. I am from Texas so instead of everyone traveling to Philadelphia I thought that it would be much more fun and excitment in Vegas. So far I am looking at Joe's or Maggiano's for a Friday night welcome dinner. For the ceremony the Wynn, Bellagio and MGM Grand. I was thinking of an in-suite reception so that everyone would not have to travel far for the reception, but I like the restauraunt idea as well. I am guesstimating about 30guests (approx. 100 invitations going out). Thanks for all of your informative posts. I have picked up tons in the last few days and I look forward to learning more.
