  1. Hi Ladies! I finally have my review up from our June 11th wedding. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/dreams-los-cabos-suites-golf-resort-spa-all-inclusive/reviews/4897 I would be happy to answer any questions for any future Dreams Brides
  2. That must be frustrating! But you know, everyone will always have comments and opinions on what THEY think you should do. Dust it off, because what matters is that you and your FI are happy with your choice. You aren't going to spend the entire time in yhour room anyway! I have def learned through this whole planning experience how to ignore and tune people out....there will always be opinions!! Don't let it bother you too much! Enjoy your planning!
  3. Congrats on your upcoming Dreams wedding Shawnarochelle!! Try not to stress too much...they are super busy right now with a ton of weddings going on. I know it's hard to move forward without knowing if your date is secured but They work as fast as they can.!! My wedding is next month, June 11th and it is still at times taking my WC almost a week to reply. If you do not hear back in a few days, you may also try senidng a PM to Tammy (host) as she has a very good relationship with Dreams and maybe she can help secure your date. I'm sure you will hear something back from them soon. Good luck with your planning
  4. Hi Lades! I have been MIA for about a week just trying to get some stuff done! It's great to see so many June brides on here!! We were just notified that our hotel is now sold out during the weekend of our wedding. It's a little bit of a stresser since we still have at least 8 guests with flights and no rooms. This will be interesting Donnie - I am also working with Lola from Florenta. She has been great so far but as you mentioned, all the flowers I really wanted were so expensive! I ended up just choosing some domestic flowers. I am bringing down my own bouquets and bout's. I went with the real touch so that I could at least have some calla's for my bouquets! I am also bringing down about 70 loose green cymibium orchids that are also real touch. I figured I could use them for the tables at the reception. All of my real touch flowers should ship next week so I am anxious to see how they look in person. I just finished up our ceremony programs and I am now working on the menu's. I ordered raffia fans for the chairs and I will be attaching the program onto the fans. As far as the OOT bags, I am slowly gathering all of the contents. Ill update soon when I have some pics of all the stuff. I really need to spend some time on our playlist!! We have a good start but I don't want to wait for the lat minute so I try to add songs little by little. We plan to go into town once we arrive, to grab some tequila bottles and some snacks for the oot bags. We finally booked our honeymoon last night...Im so excited to have this crossed off of our list. We decided on Capella Pedregal and I can't wait to be there!!
  5. Hey Ashley! I am also getting married at Dreams on June 11! We're date twins! Looks like it is going to be a crazy busy weekend for the hotel!! How is your planning ocming along? I am pretty much finalizing all the small details and working with Florenta to also finalize the floral stuff. I assume you are having your reception at the cascade Terrace? Are you doing a beach ceremony?
  6. Hey Donnie! It definitely sounds like we are at similar points in our planning So far we have about 44 guests who have either rooms or airfare booked so we are hoping our number doesn't get too much bigger than that! We were originally budgeting for about 50 (which was our high end of the count) but then had some "extra" family from FI side added last minute so now we may even get to 65...I am hoping NOT! haha. It makes it sort of difficult to get my OOT bags and other small things completed without knowing yet how many we are working with. Our rsvp date on our invites was March 11th and so far we have more people booked than actual rsvps received in the mail. It's been pretty fun receiving them in the mail though...we had a "no"reply that was accompanied with a check so that was nice Have you had your wedding gown altered yet? I am taking mine in early next month. I purchased my gown up in Orange County but I didn't really want to keep driving back and forth so I decided to just find someone local to do the alterations. I am still on the hunt for my shoes and jewelry. We arrive on the 8th and decided to stay in Cabo for the honeymoon, but we are changing hotels so on the 13th we will leave dreams and head to our honeymoon hotel. We are looking into either the One & Only or Esperanza...still deciding. If we have time to somehow meet up for a drink I would love to!! I'm starting to get really excited !!! Aren't you?
  7. Hey Donnie! It really is so CRAZY how time has just flown by and our weddings are right around the corner! I still feel like I have so many little things to do. Sounds like things are going good with your planning I have the same concerns about getting all this stuff down there! Are you taking a lot of stuff down with you? We are thinking we will spread a few things amongst some of our family (mo, sister) are trying to spread a few things amongst our family (mom, sister) and then pack the rest in suitcases. We still haven't purchased our airfare because fares have been so expensive! We have a friend who works for alaska and she said there were still 105 seats open on the flight so I highly doubt fares will go up even higher. So we are just going to wait a bit and try to catch a deal. I still haven't decided exactly on what flowers we are using for the centerpieces. Working on that now with our florist. When do you arrive in Cabo? Are you staying in cabo for the honeymoon?
  8. Hey ladies!! Wow time sure is flying by! Some of you are under 99 days left! So exciting! I am in the process of getting all the little details done and out of the way. I'm working on the OOT bags, ceremony programs, menu's, signs/tags, etc. Things are coming along but I do feel the pressure to get everything done. My bridal shower is next month, followed by my 30th bday and bachelorette party both in May...then we leave to Cabo on the 8th of June so I pretty much feel like there is not much time left! How are you all doing with your planning?
  9. After reading several negative reviews regarding shipping packages from the US to resorts in Mexico, I am way too nervous to take a chance and risk my items not showing up. I really wish I could send at least one box of stuff down there since I have so much stuff I want to bring. We live in San DIego which is just miles away from the border so FI and I were thinking maybe we could cross the border and send a package through DHL in Mexico to our resort in Cabo. I was thinking it would then be a shipment within mexico which would avoid going through customs. Not too sure what the rules are on this though.... Just curious, has anyone done anything similar?
  10. Very cute idea ladies!! I have been looking for totes like these. Queen Diva would you mind sharing which website you purchased your from?
  11. I also ordered these for my OOT bags and i LOVE them! They smell delicious and are the perfect size! I also bought a bunch of the pocket hand sanitizers that were on sale 5 for $5 ...they are perfect for the bags. I love that they have a diamond ring on them... So cute!
  12. This was my inspiration pic: This is my actual bouquet. It is natural touch, made by Wedideas. Love the color!!
  13. I m a Dreams bride and also went through Tammy (Wright Travel)...she hooked me up with Teresa from Vacations for less and Teresa has been awesome! I have nothing but great things to say so far. You will definitely be in good hands with Tammy and the other TA's on this forum.
