Hi Ladies, they've changed the site a bunch so I just thought this would be the easiest way to share my wedding info/advice for you. We were married on Feb. 20, 2010 at the Sun Palace. We had 70 guests so we decided to stay at the Moon Palace and bus everyone over to the Sun Palace the day of the wedding. Overall, I was really happy with the way everything turned out! The weddings department at the Moon Palace was TERRIBLE and RUDE. I don't know if it was because my actually wedding was at the Sun Palace, but I had 70 guests staying at their hotel! So the beginning of the week was a bit rough. I had sombreros stuffed with hand santizer, gum, snacks, thank you card, itinerary, etc. delivered to each guests room ($3 delivery charge per room) WORTH IT. We were there a week before the wedding so it was nice because I got all the meetings and what not done in the beginning of the week so I could hang out and enjoy everyone. Word of Advice: Be SUPER organized: bring a copy of all your confirmations (hair, golf, flower order, etc) because they "lost" or hair appts, claimed I didn't order a specific buffet, etc. I had all the docs to prove them wrong. Also, make sure and have any favors, guest book, wedding music etc labled with instructions because if you don't they will screw it up...my wedding planner was sweet as can be, but she lost my "walking down the aisle" music 10 min before the ceremony, forgot to put my guest book out...frustration luckily my MOH was amazing and fixed everything so I could relax. Reception: I went through a separate vendor and basically sent them pics of what I wanted....after numerous emails they finally got it and it (in my opinion ) turned out gorgeous. Food at the Sun Palace was awesome. Feel free to ask me anymore questions! Have fun planning! PS....my wedding coordinator finally contacted me 1 month before the wedding and I did all the planning that month. I know some of you are having trouble communicating with them.

Hi there, I know that you can either leave your welcome baskets at the front desk or you can pay a $3 delivery charge. I'm still finishing my baskets, so far I have tylenol chapstick hand sanitizer little customized packets of Margarita mix funny sunglasses itinerary Thank you note I feel like i'm missing some stuff! what are you girls putting in yours?

Hi! Sorry, I've been so busy with work I haven't had time to come on here! We decided to go with the complimentary package and then just do add ons, that seemed like the best choice according to everyone on here. Paola is great! right after the first of the year she came at me in full wedding mode! So I'm feeling better about it. Right now we have 63 guests, so we'll be having our reception on the spa terrace...reading your post about it was the deal sealer Any advice? Anything you would do different?

Hi Ladies! I'm in the final planning stages, so if anyone has questions I am happy to help. But I was wondering if anyone has purchased a fireworks package? I'm debating on whether or not they are worth it! they are really expensive. Any thoughts?

Bridesmaids Dresses were super stressful for me too! I have 6 girls in my wedding and the dresses ended up being around $160. I'm just letting them do whatever they want for shoes. For their gifts...I'm having all of them over for a brunch and a consultation with a make-up artist from Bobbi Brown soooo I got them each monogramed make-up bags from pottery barn and putting a gift certificate for nordstrom so they can buy the make - up they liked...or whatever they want. My bridesmaids are all soooo different I had a really hard time coming up with something.....

Did you sign a group contract throught the palace resorts or a separate travel agency? We did ours directly through the Moon Palace, I would talk to your travel agent anyway. We have 53 people in our group I think 85 nights between all of them

Hi there, I've tried everything! I guess I'll just be patient for the next 15 days until I hit the 60 day mark. I chose the Sun Palace because I wanted to get married on the Beach and there were no available times at the moon palace. BUT! from all the feedback I've heard, I guess the Sun Palace beach is the best! And it gets everyone to a new location for the night

Thank you for the quick responses! We booked through the palace resorts and so did all of our guests. Since our group booked over 75 nights we recieved 7 free nights and unlimited private functions. After reading through everyones posts today, I actually changed my wedding package to the complimentary one so that we can pick and choose what we want

Hi Ladies! I'm getting married at the Sun Palace Feb. 20, 2010, but all of our guests are staying at the moon palace and so are we. (we had to do this because there were no times available at the moon palace the day we chose to get married) Ok, so it's 75 days away from our wedding and my wedding planner is not emailing me back and when she does she doesn't answer any of my questions! I'm freaking! I was not a fan of any of the flower options (but the funny thing is that none of the options even matched the other packages) We have unlimited private functions so we'll be having a reception with about 55 people, I'm basically freaking out because the clock is ticking and I don't want to end up hating our ceremony and reception decor. So help! Any advice? any pics you can share? I noticed that you all had problems with your coordinators also! Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone! I'm so excited I found this site! I really wish I did earlier My fiance Josh and I are getting married at the Sun Palace on February 20, 2010! We decided to marry at the Sun Palace because their beach is gorgeous. We chose to stay at the Moon Palace because our group is around 50 people so the Sun Palace would be a little small for a large and loud group like ours I appreciate any advice you have!
