Hi Ladies, Magalie - that's interesting about the 5.5% charge. We had a call with Adam today......and we have most of our questions answered. But, like you said, things can change. Well they did....Blaire had given us a quote on room prices - when I talked to Adam today he said that what she told us was incorrect and in fact it is a 100 dollars more per person. Ughhh..just as I had pretty much convinced everyone - I have to tell them to add on another 100$ per person. So we don't know what we're going to do. By the way - that is very fun about Travis being a Chef - what are you guys planning for food!? Kristine, I completely agree - I love the idea of a playa fiesta wedding - I just don't want it to be too expensive for everyone - especially since we'll have a ton of people flying in from London.... Have you seen any other places that you like? May '11 will come fast - I can't believe its already 2010!!! Mel - we'd love to see pics from your vacation! 400-600 aren't bad at all. I really like the bing travel site too - I set travel alerts for everything!

ps - what kind of questions did you ask Adam? I just want to make sure that I don't miss anything.

Hi Ladies! Happy New Year! Things have been busy here - and it hasn't been wedding stuff. I've been catching up on the posts: Crystal - you do look gorgeous in your dress, let us know what you decide on. Can you believe it's almost Feb!! Mel - you'll have to post pics of your vacation - did you see any weddings while you were there? what was the weather like? Were the flights expensive that time of year? Magalie - love the STD they turned out fantastic- what a nightmare with Kinkos though. Christa, Kodi, Sara - how are your wedding plans going? Kate - can you believe its been almost a year since you've been married Kristine - welcome to group - there's lots of info here! When are you planning on getting married? We do have people questioning the 4 day - in fact we have people questioning flying to Mexico too and just about everything! I've been so worried about other people (wants, schedules and budget, etc) that I'm forgetting what is best for us. We're going to have a call with Adam and hopefully confirm. I just want to get to the fun stuff already! LOL! Well I hope everyone is doing well! Love hearing your wedding stories!

Flowers aren't too big of a deal for me (I think). I would rather put that money somehwere else - like pictures, so I'll probably go on the cheaper end. Of course I say this now - we'll see what happens when I'm in full swing planning mode! I'm sure its easy to get carried away! I hear ya about the MOH. My best friend in California is going through IVF, so she might be preggo and not be able to come, but she might not be.....soo....i dunno what I'm going to do! Did anyone pay flight / hotel for the wedding party? Magalie - keep us posted on your projects! It's always fun to see pictures!

Thanks Sam - I'll check with Blaire on that! Way to go Magalie! whoo hoo! That's a lot more than I've accomplished. We're still stuck on figuring out a date! So which photographer did you decide on? I bet five months is going to go really fast! Do you have any other DIY projects planned?

Hi all, Just a quick question - in the rooms with full kitchens - did anyone notice if there were pots and pans to use? I'm Indian, and Jon is American. We'll have some vegetarians from my side and my mom really wants to make sure that she'll have the ability to cook! She's crazy - but I love her for it!

Hi Sheri! Welcome to the goup. Las Celatas was on my list too! It's such a beautiful place. My grandmother would have had a hard time getting around - so we decided against it. But the pics of the place are gorgeous. But then we found Playa Fiesta, and the reviews and pics are amazing. I love the place and i haven't even been there! I think you have to stay at PF for either 4 or 5 nights. Kids can stay there. I belive kids under 5 stay free and then 5-15yrs is a discounted price. The ladies on here have a lot of info to share and have been so helpful! G'luck with the planning! keep us posted with what you decide!

Sam - those pics are great! what excellent shots! I'll have to keep the mini cakes in mind too. How cute - and they sound yummy. Magalie - I know what you mean about the pictures. Michelle's pictures look great. We're still trying to decide on a date! I haven't even gotten to the fun stuff yet. We have a lot of family in London - so trying to coordinate dates, etc has been more difficult than I thought. So, how many waiters did ya'll have?

Mel - you crack me up! I'm all for taller and skinnier! Christa - these girls have great information! 5 months left! How long ago did you book playa fiesta? We thought about the no dance floor too - but it looks like good fun in all the pictures. Keep us posted about what Lindsay suggests. How many people are coming to the wedding?

Jennie! Congrats - it looked amazing. mel, you're right - I can't wait to hear the review. It is so much fun to hear other stories, and see other pictures! How was the weather this time of year? I take it the beach is sometimes rocky...and sometimes not? Some of the pics I've seen it looks clear and others it does look very rocky. Jessica - a site visit will be lots of fun. You'll have to fill me in on what you think when you get back!

I think I'm going to take your advide Mel and just ask people what they think about coming (well I'll probably have my mom do it). Kate, I don't think we're going to do a site visit either. I actually found the place from your pictures on Elizabeth Medinas' webpage. I loved her work and was looking through her blog and came across your wedding pics. So I looked it up and loved it too! Are there places to buy groceries (Does walmart sell groceries)? I know a couple of the suites have full kitchens. I guess what do they mean by full kitchen - stove? microwave? oven? Thanks!

Thanks ladies. I emailed Blaire last week, and haven't heard from her since. I'll probably send her another email sometime later this week. Jessica - when are you doing your site visit? where are you staying? I'm debating the site visit. Kate - you mentioned you didn't do a site visit and everything looks like it turned out perfectly. My biggest issue at the moment - is figuring out how to ask extended family / friends if they'll be able to come so early. The wedding wouldn't be for another yearish......I guess this is where the save the date's come in handy.
