  1. Thank you, J_jaye! this is definitely helpful! I love their work and the prices are VERY reasonable. I've sent then an inquiry. when are you getting married? have you picked everything yet? My FI keeps changing his mind. He really likes the Venetian, Paris, and the Excalibur. I'm going to look into it. He really doesn't feel comfortable experimenting with "outside the hotels" chapels, afraid of getting the most important day of our lives getting messed up, I guess .
  2. Hi, ladies we're thinking about having our wedding in Vegas. Trying to make it classy and romantic, but stick to a budget of 2K max. Expecting about 20 people. We really love what these 2 hotels have to offer, although, they're a little out of our range... Are you or anyone you know planning a wedding there? Are they getting a package from a hotel or going with a chapel? any suggestions? it seems like hotels are charging a lot more than chapels... Also, looks like they all offer very limited time with the photographer... can anyone recommend a reasonably priced one for a few extra hours? Or would it be better to get disposable cameras for all guests and just DIY? thanks a lot to everyone who responds!!!
  3. HI, I'm also looking to have our wedding in Destin. I still have about a year to plan, but it's very difficult to plan a destination wedding and I'm looking for suggestions just like you are. I've looked at Sandestin HIlton. It looks very nice, they offer a complete package for the ceremony (which is convenient since I hate planning myself)... But we're still looking at a few other places. Honestly, I'm having the hardest time finding a place for reception... have you found anything good yet? do you have any ideas you can share? thank you
  4. thank you, Gwynemark, for the responce! BTW, I checked your photography! you're wonderful! Too bad I can't really afford to have you at my wedding . We've considered renting a house, but it doesn't sound too good for us. I'm looking for a nice company/place to have the reception on the beach and a restaurant (not too far from the beach) for the reception. Considering we're only going to have about 20 people, I thought we dont' really need a big banquet hall or anything like that... Can you suggest any nice places? thank you!
  5. Thank you for all suggestions! I'll definitely check the Highlands House out. It looks very nice, but I looked to see if they have any wedding packages and what I saw doesn't look very affordable... I'll have to give them a call and find out if they can just host a reception without renting the whole house
  6. Thank you very much for all suggestions! I do agree that HIlton might be a little too big and too expensive. But considering the diversity of our guests, we're jsut not sure that a big house would be a good idea. I'm wondering if we could hire a co for ceremony (small and simple, any suggestions?) and then go to a nice place for dinner... how does it sound?
  7. HI! thanks so much for the advice! that sounds good for the reception! I'll definitely call them for pricing... We also keep changing our date. I think we'll set it for some time in September 2010. Just hope the weather will be nice. I was looking at Hilton, since they have an all-inclusive ceremony package, which sounds very convenient considering we're coming from Chicago and know nothing about the area or the vendors... it would be nice to hear from anyone who's been there at an event or had their wedding there... as for the reception, we're still looking for a place. Hilton wants $135/person, and it's a little too much for us... any suggestions?
  8. Hi, everyone! We changed the location for our destination wedding (again )... and now we're seriously considering having it at the Sandestin Hilton. We're planning on 20-25 people and very limited budget... I would appreciate any feedback from anyone who had their wedding there or attended one... As well as suggestions on vendors and services... I really loved the ceremony photos they have on the website and the ceremony package that seems to include everything, but the reception prices seem a little too much for us... we're open to any suggestions and would really really appreciate any help thank you!
  9. Hi, ldeavila! what a cute baby! is he/she invited too? (just kidding)
  10. Hi, Vlynnw, thanks for your reply. Coudl you, please, share how much approximately is ok for guests? I was thinking about this one resort in Aruba, it's about $2500 per person, all inclusive...For an average, non-Trump guest, do you think it's a little too much? And would it be ok if we stay in one hotel and the guests stay in another? I have no idea how this is done... thanks again!
  11. Hi, everyone! I'm sooo glad I found this forum! So much information. Not helping when I'm still undecided on the date or the place. We're thinking about sooo many beautiful places in the Carribean, but cannot pick just one. If anyone has good approach to this dillema, I'd appreaciate any suggestions! Good luck to all future brides! I'm one of you now! Woo Hoo!!!
