It depends...it's more expensive then doing the dinner in the a la carte with other hotel guests, but it will work out cheaper then the private beach or Thai restaurant party and I thought it would be neat to leave the resort and get some pictures on 5th ave. It did seem that d the resort was pretty expensive considering eveyone was already paying to be there all inclusive! I just wasn't really happy with what they wanted to provide, or more so what they wanted to charge us...Plus being that I've thrown this entire wedding together in less then 2 months(that's including letting all the guests know they would be in Mexico this December!>>) it's been stressful to say the least and well Sandra has been great she's really busy and I just don't have the time to wait between emails for response. All I know is that I really need to sit at a pool bar asap!!!LOL

  4. I hope everything is FABULOUS on your day Tiffiany, I haven't heard back from many people that have been married there, I guess people get back and move on PLEASE tell me how everything goes I would love to hear about it!!!! All the best!
  5. Well we are going with the Mexican restaurant, she wasn't very flexible with the menu so I figured the Mexican wound be the most fun and easiest to please everyone. I wanted to do fondue being the restaurant looks very pretty but you must pick only one meat Seems a bit crazy, anyway, I'm actually using this dinner the night before my wedding and the day of my wedding we're taking everyone off the resort to a restaurant in Playa Del Carmen. They have been much more accommodating, but yes more money...Either way I'm pretty excited and can't believe how close it is!!!!!
  6. Sometimes it does take her a while to get back to you I didn't hear anything for a couple weeks but we've heard back and booked her for our wedding this December I CAN"T WAIT! Hopefully you will hear back soon!
  7. My name is Lesia we're getting married in the Mayan this December 15th!!!! I can't believe it's so soon! Just over a month ago we decided to move it up a year so it's all a big rush now! We're staying at the Grand Riviera Princess, our ceremony will be there with our reception at the Ajua Restaurant in Playa Del Carmen, I can't wait!
  8. Well just getting started and I'm not really sure how all of this works?
  9. I'm so sorry to hear that. My parents are terrified of flying and traveling but have been behind me form the beginning...I have a very large family filled with some "interesting characters" which helped them understand and agree with our choice to get out of the country HA HA. We haven't been so lucky with my fiances parents and family. It's been a fight every step of the way, everything is booked and they are STILL trying to cahnge our minds... and although at times I worried it would cause problems between my fiance and I it ended up bringing us even closer. We have stuck to our guns and I have amazing girlfriends that have reminded me that's it's all about him and I and THAT'S IT. That's all you have to keep in mind but I know it's not easy. Just have a big party when you get back with all the people that couldn't make it...you'll be the beautiful new bride with the glorious tan!
  10. I'm actually wondering the same thing about the beach party I only have around 20 people and don't want to pay full price for 40!! They gave me the same response....Any one have better luck with them?
  11. Hello! I can't believe all there is to do and consider! LOL We're planning our wedding with very little time at the GRP just decided to do it this December and can't believe how much it costs I'm wondering if there is any advice for me out there as to what is a waste of money and what was really worth it. Also the gazebo looks nice but I've seen a lot of wedding photos with shadows all over the bride and groom while they are standing in it during the ceremony. AND my number one question what time of day? they say sunset is at 5pm? I don't want o get married in the middle of the heat but don't want all the pictures in the dark? How did I think I could pull this off in 2 months! LOL HELP!!!!!

(That’s not to say they don’t deliver to Canada, I just don’t have the details on cost, etc…) 1. Chair Bows wedding linens direct home page These were EXTREMELY reasonably priced and good quality! I got 30 chair bows for $30, including shipping. I ordered the organza sashes, which at the time were on sale for 10 for $7.90. Not sure if they’re on sale any more, but keep checking back as I think they have sales often. They have matching table runners, overlays etc. They were shipped the same day I ordered them! Here’s a picture of them at our ceremony: 2.Designs By Tami – memory frames Etsy :: DesignsbyTami :: Designer knitting tools, custom photo jewelry & more! We were looking for a way to have my DH’s sister, who passed away several years ago, be part of our celebration, but in a way that wouldn’t make people sad. These memory frames were perfect. You just send her a picture and a few words you’d like written on the back. She sends you a proof before she actually makes it. We ordered three. She had them done and shipped off quickly. $10 per memory frame. Wow this is awesome!!!! Anymore out there??

The range for photographers is huge!! I think she is mid range. Also she has been great to email. During the holidays it took a couple of days to respond but it was the holidays. I put my deposit down and she said we would be in contact closer to the wedding date to confirm things. But if I had any questions I should email her. She also provided me with a link and password to see more picks. I have been trying everything to get her pricing and we're having our weddign in a few months I would LOVE if you could send me that link I can't seem to get it. lesiaanderson@yahoo.ca Thank you so much!

We had upgraded to Platinum and were annoyed by the parents that thought it was ok for their loud kids to play in the small exclusive pool instead of the 5 other bigger pools. Other than that the resort was great and there were quite a few weddings during our stay so it must be good. I did get an information package for their weddings so if you need any info from there I'm more than happy to pass along what I can. I would love any info you could send!!! we're getting married there this December hopefully!
