thats odd because I printed out the exact same pictures of everything I emailed to Amber and showed them to the WC at the site. If you look at my bouquette there is nothing similiar to it in the catalogue! I was in no way trying to stir up anything espically with Amber, I have been fully supportive of her and loved her. The WC at the resort called the florist while i was in her office and explained what I wanted and followed up by giving her the picture. The bouquette was very unique. The same with the bouts and the MOH bouquet and aisle flowers. Since I sent the same exact pictures to Amber that I printed out and took with me (why would I change my mind on the flowers I was wanting ) how could it not have been apples to apples? And I never stated a price I wanted to keep with in ..... Hey I was just trying to give some advice from my experience sorry for any trouble! Thanks hey there. we went to Ricks twice. i would highly recommend going for the sunset!! and its great for people of all ages if you go during sunset. some of the snorkling trips/ catamaran trips will end the day @ ricks for sunset (its kind of the best of all worlds, you get to see the sunset& cliff divers all from the boat you are on) . I have an 11 yr old son who thought it was the coolest place he has been. He wanted so badly to jump off the cliffs but i wouldnt let him. its really cool there!! good luck.... kg

I think you have a couple of options for the free cake I just spent an hour with Amber tody and they are charging so much for flowers that are not martha stewart's.The cake is also 2 tiered square and plain , not even with a trim like yours. **we were quoted for flowers.... (this is crazy) my bouquette 450.... paid 220 moh bouquette 350.... paid 100 center pieces/ railing decor 4x 150 each ..... paid 4x 45 each boutineer 50 each ..... paid 30 each And i used the exact same pictures to show the WC on site that i emailed to Amber. Thats over $1000 difference!! 4. Did you have the option of going to the night club- liquid - after the reception? I notice you went to RIcks and was wondering if the night club is lame. **we really wanted to goto Ricks after which was probably not the best choice only because I had grander expectations of what it was going to be like, I assumed it was going to be really busy, fun live reggee music so we rented the 2 private cabanas. well it turned out there was no one there when we arrived, the place was empty (i think they were annoyed we even showed up....) So we spent 900 there on cabana's, drinks and more food and we could have stayed at the resort (it would be the only real regret i have). BUT we did go back the next day for sunset and cliff diving and it was GREAT!! Liquid is ok, its small, im not really a "club" girl but my friends that went had a great time. **dont stress!! the WC on site is awesome, Nickesha Greenfield. I even called her before I went and she is so calming and so great at her job. She makes sure it all happens just perfect!! Thanks. Lots more to come for you and Sherri. Hey ladies..... I had some answers to some questions that I wanted to post.... Its so hard to sit and write this review!! The arch on the beach did you have to pay for it? that was included with the palm trees too. you can buy flowers for the top of the arch and also pedestals of flowers to replace the palms but i thought that looked nice enough..... What reception did you do? Free one? or did you upgrade? I might confuse you with this so just ask if you don't understand...... Since we booked 12 rooms we were entitled to the free cocktail reception (includes cold o'rderves, champagne toast, cake) but we wanted the bar to be @ the reception and wanted hot food since we were not doing a sit down dinner So we upgraded to the $25 pp cocktail reception.... VERY worth it. everyone ate so much they didn't need a dinner. They set up seats for everyone. Did you get your hair and makeup done at the salon? I did get my hair and make up done, i didnt pay to have the trial done and so did my moh..... I gave my girl an A++++, she had someone different hated her hair and make up, we re-did both (but that can happen anywhere w anyone!) Recently they added the martha stewart designs and now my WC in Miami is saying we get nothing for the sweet beginnings "free wedding". But before the martha stewart collection, we did. So now Im confused. I don't know much about that but I do know if you book more than 12 rooms you get a lot of concession .... make sure you check that info out. Miami can be confusing and put pressure on you.... I did everything once I got there and there was no problem what so ever!! I also think if you book one of the "concierge suites" you receive additional upgrades. Also how was your room? Clean?? our room was awesome. we ended up with a 1bdroom suite, so we had a separate living room & 2 bathrooms..... that was nice because we had space to spread everything out and weren't tripping over each other for the week.... i would highly recommend doing things there.... for example i was quoted $400 for my bouquet from Miami so i ordered it once i was at the resort and it was $250. At least at the Beaches Negril they were so laid back and she took care of everything!! And again you all can email me if you have more questions!! i would love to help especially since there is very little info on here about beaches. I am going to post the answers to any question also so that the info starts to build!!!!

hey everyone. I am back and have a minute to post some pictures from our wedding. I know the pictures been a huge duscussion on here! so i am going to post 2 things 1. the resort photogs site. in all fairness about them, they are decent. They knew upfront that I wasnt going to be buying any pictures from them because I told them i had a photog/friend w me. The WC just asked that our photog be respectful of the resorts photog and that we take some time to take pictures with him. The 2 actually worked well together and there were no problems what so ever. Maureen, I will be getting married @ Beaches Negril on Oct 3 @ 3pm..... COme visit us if you can and want some pictures of a wedding while you are there. I am more than happy to let you take pixs etc so to help future Beaches Negril birdes, espically since there isnt a lot of info/ pixs for that resort.... hope to see you there!!! ps we are doing an after party @Ricks Cafe on Saturday night (probably 7:30- 8ish), we rented the 2 cabana's join us for that also.... the more the merrier!!!

i will let you brides know how mine goes. i am leaving next wednesday and my guest/ photog who is going to be doing a lot of shots will be there thursday thru sunday. i spoke w the wc @ the resort and she pretty much said it was ok but did say that the photog @ the resort will want to take some pictures also(not obligated to buy any) but my person can do whatever.... i will be back 10/09 so i will post something as soon as i can....

getting married 10.03.09 yikes next saturday, we leave next wednesday.... this time next week i will be in sunny (hopefully) jamaica!! getting stressed by thats great cause i cant eat and im losing those last couple of lbs!!

i am an october bride!! 10.03!! yikes! we have made some major changes over the past couple of weeks due to a large number of people not being able to make the trip, we actually downsized everything so i am was less stressed. ps. isnt that why i wanted a DW in the first place congrats to all the upcoming weddings!!!
