  4. I don't have any pictures of the wedding and I didn't take a whole lot of pics b/c we took a photographer with us. He should have them ready for us next week. I will for sure share.
  5. Hi everyone, I got married April 14th and it was amazing. Our dream wedding. We got married on the beach which I would not have any other way. However the other days I was there the weddings were at a diffeent location and it doesn't matter where you have the wedding each place is equally beautiful. Nicole is the head wedding planner here and she is the BOSS. She really has her stuff together. She knew exactly who were were when we got there, and remembered every conversation we had had. I brought the e-mails with me but she already had everything. She has tons of pictures on her computer of different things to choose from. About 20 minutes before the wedding she came to get me in my room and while we were waiting she walkied everyone downstairs to make sure everything had started. We got the videographer for $350 and it is perfect! Well worth the money. It's about 30 minutes of video including our ceremony. We took our own photographer with us. "Jim Fish" of Jim Fish Photography from here in St. Louis and it was the best decision we made. Contact him if you are looking for a destination wedding photographer. He had three cameras with him and he and his wife are amazing. We did the ttd the next day and it was awesome. We also jumped in the pool in our clothes. We ate at Aunt Rubys for the reception but we did not rent it out b/c we had a small group. Really the things you can do here are endless. I just have to say to try and stay calm once you get there everything will just work out. It was the best decision we made. Our parents did not understand why we made the decision to have a destinaiton wedding but afterwords they all said it's the most beautiful wedding they had ever seen. Everyone was crying. Please ask me any question. I will help any way I can.
  6. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE ALREADY GOTTEN MARRIED AT IRHS I HAVE A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS.... Okay, my wedding is next week and I have a few minor unanswered questions (probably silly questions) 1.) Does any of the restaurants require men to wear CLOSED TOE SHOES or will nice sandals sufice? 2.) Has anyone used the videographer for a DVD ofthe ceremony? Was it worth the $350 or should I just bring my own video camera and stand it on a tripod? (My concern with this is that I have no one to hold it so it would stay in one spot the whole time. 3.) Did anyone pay cash for the wedding or is it typical to put it on a debit or credit card? (I'm a little concerned about using my credit card/debit in Jamaica b/c of all the horror stories I have heard) Thanks in advance

  8. Hi all, first I want to say that this topic may have been discussed on a thread already but I couldn't find one. Please let me know if it is already out there. Okay, I know that most airlines don't have a problem with brides carring on their dresses but my concern is FI's tux and the bridesmaides dresses. FI's tux was expensive and I just can't imagine wrinkling it up/or folding it in a suitcase. Please help.... Has anyone carried on the dress and the tux? (They are not going to fit in the same bag)
  9. It's crazy for me that you bring this up. I'm getting married in a couple of weeks and I'm actually pretty sad about losing my last name. I am 100% a daddy's girl and I love my last name. However, in my opinion, for me it's kind of a respect thing. I know it means a lot to FI to take his last name and he is number 1 in my life and I want to do it for him.
  10. I love this thread. I am a loan processor for a mortgage company.
  11. I will take all of the hand sanitizer if they are still available I am pming you.
