I just wanted to add a few words as well. We were married at Barcelo Marina Palace on April 15 and had an amazing time. We were also upgraded to the "island" for most of our 2 week stay - i would recommend that to everyone The staff were great, but most of all, the wedding team were absolutely amazing...my day was perfect!! We had 40 guests, and about 2 or 3 had bad mosquito bites on their legs. After hanging around the lobby bar for 1 night we quickly learned our lesson and most of us were able to escape with a handful of bites each! The fact that the resort only books one wedding per day was a selling factor. Everyone in attendance had a wonderful time and agreed that it was amazing and went off without a hitch! We had a 2.5 yr old and an 11 mth old, with ages ranging from 20's, 30's 40's and 50's...everyone had a great time. So now that my wedding planning is finished and I actually have time to type on the computer, I wanted to tell everyone about my awesome boudoir photo session. Anna from Cineart photography took the pics and she is absolutely amazing. My FI and I won engagement pics with her and I loved her so much I knew I wanted her to do my boudoir pics. She does a few marathon sessions a year where she rents a beautiful hotel room and does the shoot there. Anna made me feel so comfortable and I absolutely love the end result. Before eventually booking a wonderful photographer, I had a very bad experience with an Edmonton/Calgary based photographer - Vern Oscar. After meeting with him, it took nearly 4 months of emails and phone calls to get a copy of our "contract"....completely unacceptable. Although I asked for references, I never did receive anything of the sort. I gave up and canceled the deal when I realized that I didn't trust if he would even show up in Cuba or not!!! Very bad experience. Would never deal with him in any capacity ever again! Didn't realize how bad he was at business/interpersonal skills until I met my new photographer I would leave his website address, but at the time we parted ways, he still didn't have it up! Jenny

Just wanted to let all the brides out there know that I just got married in Cuba and brought along Davide Greene (http://www.davidegreene.ca] with me. He's from Ontario, Canada, but travels all over the world shooting weddings. He was absolutely amazing. Not only do I love his photos, but he is the nicest guy and made us feel so at ease and comfortable around him. He took soooo many pics during the wedding, as well as a very fun TTD shoot a few days later. I received many wonderful comments the night of the wedding from my family and friends about how great they thought he was, as well as wonderful compliments on my pics! I'm not exactly sure how to post pics here, but if you're interested in him, I'll gladly email you a few Jenny

Hey jules, I'm actually getting married on April 15, 2010 at Barcelo Marina Palace. I loved their wedding package - the fact that they had live music and they will accommodate any # of wedding guests. Also, the wedding planner on the resort is fabulous....if you would like her email, please let me know.
