  1. I decided to go with http://www.thebridesbouquet.com/red-silk-rose-hand-tie-3-dozen-roses-bridal-wedding-bouquet/. Then added brooches once it arrived.
  2. I forgot to mention that sometime after canceling my wedding, my credit card was used fraudulently (to the tune of about 2k) and I suspect the info I faxed to book the date was the cause. I've since closed the account and the fraud department is looking into it.
  3. After catching up on this thread, canceling my wedding at the grand appears to be the best wedding planning decision I've made thus far. I don't care how gorgeous the resort, I refuse to pay for incompetence. I'm West Indian and understand the concept of laid back island time. Waiting weeks on end for a simple email reply that never comes and leaving several unreturned messages isn't island time, it's lax and unprofessional. Don't get me started on the policy and price changes that vary depending on who replies. I'm not thrilled about planning an at home wedding, but I'm over the moon about vendors who return emails in 24 hours or less and know how to answer a goddamn phone. *vent over* lol
  4. The Grand changed the requirements for their free wedding. Contrary to what my contract states, my TA confirmed that 60% of my guests must stay at the Grand. When we booked our wedding date the contract stated that 90% of wedding guests must stay at 1 of their 3 properties. Moving my wedding to the suites was an option, but this situation has left a bad taste in my mouth so I'll be taking my 100+ guests and my wedding elsewhere. They can go piss up a rope with their nickel and diming bullish. Onto the next resort!
  5. You were a gorgeous bride, and your pics are beautiful!!! Love the ttd at Dunn's River. Looks like you had a spectacular day!
  6. I can't see your pics, keep getting the message "Your web browser session has timed out due to no activity." I'm hoping that's the case with our guests too. CONGRATULATIONS!!! I hope you have a safe trip and the wedding of your dreams. Can't wait to see the pics and read you review.
  7. Thank you for the clarification, I thought I understood it correctly. TA had my blood pressure through the roof. We're having a free legal wedding, and are staying at the Grand. I assume the majority of my guests will stay at the suites.
  8. I just received an email from a TA stating we can't have our wedding at the Grand unless 50% of our guests stay at the Grand as well. The info I got from the grand wc states: Our wedding package is from 2 up to 10 people. There is an additional charge of US$20 per person Only eligible to those that booked Grand-5 rooms for 3+ nights or Grand Oceanfront one room for 7+ nights (Including tax and service charge) Can anyone clarify? TIA
  9. I dropped in on them earlier this week when I was running errands downtown. I didn't care for the reception or the experience, I will leave it at that. I'm not surprised to hear about the thread, or the horror stories. Didn't like the feeling I got the second I walked through the door.
  10. Thanks a million. I got in touch with Luxe Destination Weddings and Now Destination Weddings as well, but I'll check out the link you provided. I found Now at the bridal show in September.
  11. Thanks ladies. In 13 months I'll be his Mrs. We're off in Niagara Falls celebrating. We added 550.00 to our wedding budget at the casino.
  12. Happy to report that I have 151. I made post 150 really count too. Our Love Story
