Hello I wanted to kow if anyone has been married in a Catholic Church in Punta Cana and what the documentation requirements were? I know that a certificate of single status is needed however what if you were already married civilly in the states? Do you still need this certificate. Please help. thanks!

Thanks to all for your messages and support. Just to update you I have been in touch with Paradisus Punta Cana and I am in love...what a beautiful place. I think that's the place. Still trying to get a quote from Dreams don't know why they are taking so long. I am having approx 75 ppl so we will see what happens. Gets kind of expensive...but hey its worth it!

OMG I can't believe what happened to me today! I am so stressed....I went to Puerto Plata DR 2 weeks ago and booked my wedding for next year at the Sun Village Resort and Bungalows. Today I find out the resort is CLOSED...they filed for bankruptcy. I am going crazy...I had ordered my invitation on Sat Thank God I was able to pull the order.... I am really going crazy....So now I am going to look for another place and I am thinking Punta Cana..Please help ladies any recommendations!! I am dying here!!

Hello all, My name is Maria and I am new to the forum. I am planning my wedding for June 2010 in Puerto Plata. My fiancee and I are actually leaving this saturday to look at resorts.
