Hi everyone! I have been looking at this forum for a while and thought it was about time I linked in. I am getting married to a wonderful man that I have loved for 10 years. We cannot wait to be married!! I will marry in Ixtapa - Zihuatanejo in May or June of 2010. We are still looking at venues for a wedding and for a rehearsal dinner and would love to hear your recommendations. We are planning the wedding on our own and are stuggling to find high quality vendors in Ixtapa - Zihuatanejo so have ended up contacting high end hotels to enlist their help in our search.... we have found some leads this way but have also found some dead-ends, particularily when it comes to recommendations for photographers!! We looked at the photos of about 9 local photographers whose work was .... how shall I say this... really, really terrible! And these were photographers that were recommended by top hotels inlcuding The Tides, Brisas del Mar (Zihua) and Las Brisas (Ixtapa) as well as both wedding planners in Ixtapa - Zihuatanejo (Isabel and Fransisco Ibarra)!! I just do not know where they get off recommending such poor quality vendors. Sorry, Im venting. The bright side is that my fiance and I searched online and found an a talented and friendly photographer based in right in Ixtapa - Zihuatanejo (I think she lives in Zihua). We feel like a load has been taken off our shoulders to have found such a great vendor.
