  1. Ladies, it's been a long time since i've been on this forum. Just wanted to say "congrats" to all the recently married ladies, and well wishes to the ladies whose weddings are coming up. I leave for the airport in 3 hours and am pretty stoked to: 1. see some sun and not snow, and 2. finally get married!
  2. Hey ladies, it's been a long time since i've been on here, but wanted to say congrats to all the recently married ladies, and soon to be ladies. I leave tomorrow, well, more like in 3 hours for the airport, and am pretty stoked to finally be on my way. Take care everyone!

That is beyond awesome your time is already here. Have an amazing time!

Hello to all the new Bahia brides. I can't believe the drama going on with the photographer situation! We put down a deposit with Claudia back in June, and this is the first i've heard anything about the change in outside vendors. I hope it works out for us! Here's a site I found that lists restaurants at the Gran Bahia Complex. We were given our choice of 2 restaurants, since we were the first wedding booked that day. If you're only given one option, it might be because another bride had booked before you. Our travel agent told us there are maximum 2 weddings per resort / day. BAHIA-GOURMET.COM ::::
  5. Love the photos Janet. Looks like you had gorgeous weather. Congrats.
  6. That's great Jenn. Now, that pesky social business

So, Joss, we are almost "date twins"? How close are we? What is your exact wedding day? January 27th! I haven't really found anyone else close to this date, though i'll be on the Tulum side.

I did have my alterations done here though. I had a great experience at David's Bridal. I actually was just at Stella's here in Winnipeg with my friend who is looking for a dress and I noticed that they have a rack of dresses for destination weddings. Sweet info. I'm picking up my dress this Saturday. I'm torn between having alterations done there or locally (i'd prefer locally actually). Where did you have your alterations done in Winnipeg? Were you happy with the end product? Would you recommend them?
  9. Hey Janet, thanks for the review. Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous. Emme, how exciting! You're so close.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to answer the many questions asked. Our wedding date is set for January 30, 2010. We chose the Bahia Principe Akumal. It was a super-difficult decision because BP Tulum and BP Coba are fantastic too!! I'm so excited about this trip and our wedding on the beach!!!! This forum has helped me to know what to expect and has already made the experience a lot more "relaxed". Thank you - thank you - thank you!!! That being said, I'll probably have tons of questions once we get closer to the date, when I am required to make actual decisions!!! Cheers!!! Cookie Welcome and congrats Cookie. You are the closest person i've found to a "date twin" yet!
  12. Ladies, this is a shout out to let you know I just bought Bubba kegs on sale for 50% off at Canadian Tire. It puts them at $5.99 per mug vs. $12.99 (they're the 20oz kegs).
  13. For the Canadian girls, i just bought 26 Bubba kegs on sale for 50% off at Canadian Tire. It puts them at $5.99 per mug vs. $12.99 (they're the 20oz kegs).
  14. Hey Moe, that's a bummer about them no longer carrying them. I'd need about 25 pairs or so.
