  1. The flowers were green cymbidium orchids. The pictures definitely don't do the flower justice they were absolutely gorgeous in person. The bouquet that I had was 150$ I think then the boutineer was 22$. The original picture I found on the Knot also had orange calla lillies also, but I requested to have it without to keep the cost down a little plus all the colors and bouquet was exactly the same so you didn't even notice. Good Luck hope this helps!
  2. They do include the decoration on the gazebo. I think there was 2 choices for the side flowers. The only thing that we brought was the sand ceremony set.- Which by the way if you were planning on using one, I would bring your own because if you use one of theirs it will cost you double. As far as the pics. I did email them prior to coming down just to let them know that I was having my wedding, but I don't think I needed to. When you get there just stop in it is a small door not far from the main part. It will have a best images person standing there from 9am (I think) to 8 pm. FYI- they only accept cash for wedding pics and the photographer
  3. I would first like to thank everyone on this website who helped me when I was trying to plan our wedding. Hopefully this will help some people out there too. Resort: We booked a jacuzzi suite to stay in, however once we got there and checked in we had been put into a regular suite. This was no big deal after getting to our room for the night we realized that the air conditioner was not working and it wasn't because windows or doors were open. We had a difficult time trying to get someone to come look see what the problem was. Approximately an hour after we originally called someone arrived "diagnosed" that yes our air conditioner was not working and left saying they were going to get a ladder. After another hour (now midnight) nobody had came up. The front desk told us over the phone that we would just have to wait it out till the next morning but after going down to the front desk we were able to get a new room. We did have to be down graded again to a jr suite, but that was fine. This room was nice and because the air conditioner was working the room did not smell as bad as the first did. The front desk manager did send his apologizes the next day along with a fruit basket and campaign. Other than this issue there were no other problems we had with the resort it was all very clean and they were generally nice. Food: The food was decent. While we were they we ate at all of the restaurants available, including the jerk hut. This is located on the beach in front of the plantation, it is not listed on the food guide they will give you when you check in . The thing that I didn't like was that you had to get up early in the morning (7:30) to wait in line for reservations for dinner, if you didn't want to eat at the buffet. I would also be aware that the drinks are not made very strong but that can be expected with unlimited alcohol. Excursions: While we were there we did the Dunn's River falls this was around 15$ per person and you need tennis shoes, crocs, or water shoes to go. It was fun but I would not recommend it for anyone that is older or under 12 or so. They say that any age can go but it pretty difficult and there are spots that you can slip and fall. Despite this it was my favorite one. We also did the Mistic Mountian to just do that it is 42$ (ski lift) to include zipline 120$ (I believe) and to add to do the bob sled it was 60 something. This was nice and had good views however, it is a little over priced to just do the ski lift but those that included the zip lining said it was well worth it. We did drive through the furn gully which is basically just a road you drive through and did some "downtown" shopping. The shops were all pretty much the same, i.e jewelry stores and souvenir places. Margaritaville is across the street and had some slightly better shops, along with the restaurateur and seemed to be the better of the two places Wedding: I had a horrible time getting a hold of the coordinators before I left which I found very frustrating. Once I got there I tracked them down, I had Niki who was very nice and everything seemed to work out. We chose the beach gazebo. I was a little disappointed on how close it was to the actual hotel and the other guest staying, but I guess that is expected with a resort wedding. I have attached pictures that can show the proximity. We had ordered the white cake with chocolate filling, but got back forest instead which was good. I ordered my flowers through Tia Flora myself which ended up being cheaper than if I would have gone though RIU. I had found a picture and sent it to them they were able to make it exactly they way it looked, and turned out perfect. My reception was at Mamee Bay (pic included) and every thing turned out nice there they were able to set up a table for our cake, which was nice since I had eaten there before the wedding and they did not do this for the other wedding party. Overall everything turned out wonderful and was a breeze! I think I covered everything! Here is a link to some pics Flickr: Gabby A's Photostream
  4. Hello, we emailed a scanned copy of the form that we got at the court house after the "legal" marriage. When we got down there they never asked for anything else. We also didn't send our form till 2 weeks before, but they had not asked for it prior or acknowledged that they received it so I wouldn't stress.
  5. If you got those can you email them to me too, I can't seem to open it either. My email is [email protected]
  6. Thanks for the advice it is very frustrating I have emailed her on a number of occasions without hearing anything back, (even if they still have me down to get married). I can't imagine how other brides that don't know about how they work feel, I am glad I have read things on here! Can the pictures, cake and dinner all be set up when we get there?
  7. Thank you for the number I think that I will call. As far as booking goes I have not booked the dinner or anything else. I just find this all very frustrating since I along with 14 other will be getting on a plane in less than a week. I know I have heard that things can be very last minute but is this normal?
  8. Can someone please email this to me at [email protected]. I can't see these and I have emailed Chandlyn for them without getting any response.
  9. I am leaving for ROR in 2 weeks and still have not been contacted by Chandolyn for Wedding arrangements! I am concerned that there has been a mishap and they don't have me on their list. I have tried to email her but haven't gotten any response. Please help! Is there a number anyone knows that I can call to verify? Can the arrangements be made in this short of notice?
  10. Floral fantasy also has a rum/coffee gift set that you can buy for 12$ each, but it sounds like purchasing them in the airport might be cheaper. Does anyone know of any ideas for purchasing the blue mountain coffee?
  11. Wow those are really pretty! Does anyone know or has an idea how many flowers are in a bouquet of that size or like that?
