  1. I love them, the ring is so cute and creative! I think I will make these too, if you don't mind sharing the creative influence. If you still have the extra materials, I would be happy to buy them off of you! PM me if you'd like to set something up
  2. What a beauuuutiful dress! Exactly what I want for my beach wedding as well!! I agree with everyone in saying go with what feels right to you! Also, I could never hear myself say (or think)...wow that bride is too dressed up for her wedding
  3. Sorry I have one more post... My TA told me yesterday that I could not be guaranteed a ceremony in English if I was to book at Riviera Maya...I was looking at a few different resorts around this area and in Playa del Carmen. Anyone have any insight into this? Sometimes I feel like since she is a Sandals affiliated agent that she pushes Sandals more than other resorts... No habla espanol!
  4. Hello all, My fiance and I are currently trying to choose between SGOR, Sandals Montego Bay/Royal Caribbean and RIU Riviera Maya. Any RIU Riviera Maya brides willing to say if there was there anything in particular that made it stand out to you? I am finding it really hard to choose because I've never been to Jamaica or Mexico! Any help or opinions are extremely appreciated!
  5. Hello all, My fiance and I are currently trying to choose between SGOR, Sandals Montego Bay/Royal Caribbean and RIU Riviera Maya. Was there anything in particular that made SGOR or Sandals MoBay/RC stand out to you? I am finding it really hard to choose because I've never been to Jamaica or Mexico! Any help or opinions are extremely appreciated!
  6. Hey I just wanted to say that I know how you feel...I got laid off shortly before the holidays and it was awful. I also got engaged around the same time (by surprise) and I couldn't tell if everyone was more shocked by my engagement or by the fact that I was no longer working with my company (which was a HUGE part of my life)... So much change is hard to deal with. To top it off my FI and I moved across the country so that he could go back to school, so now I am searching for employment *still* in a new and unfamiliar place where I don't really know anyone! Just remember that when God closes a door he opens a window. And if a shoe doesn't fit, that is not your shoe haha. Okay I will stop. Best wishes on the employment and bridal front, this too will pass
  7. Hello and welcome! I've heard that is a beautiful spot to visit, hope your planning goes well!!
  8. Hello all, Anyone located in the Fort Wayne IN area? I am new in town and would love to chat wedding planning with a fellow Hoosier. I am also originally from IL and could also do a meet up if anyone is interested from Central IL! Happy Planning!
  9. Is there anyway they can order it in an even larger size and it can be altered down? I can help you check online as well if you need help. Also, if you haven't spoken to anyone in Napa yet, I would call around there and see if anyone might be able to check within a 50 mile radius for these dresses, even in a sample or larger size. Could you get it in a lighter color and have it dyed? (A stretch, I know)
  10. Fingers crossed that the dress fits better post alterations but you are SO right in going with your instincts! This is a day when you should feel beautiful and if you already don't feel good about the way it fits, it isnt the right pick. Keep looking and just think, the altered dress may be a perfect fit for someone else...you can just take credit as the stylist
  11. I am jumping on this a bit late but I think that number 2 is more beachy but if you are having an at home reception, then maybe keep both and wear dress 1 for the AHR? Good luck you look beautiful in both!
  12. What a cute tag line!! Congrats!
  13. Thanks for the warm welcomes! I have researched both areas a lot and I'm just not sure how to pick! I'm worried mainly that my family will have fun because there are a lot of them coming and I just want it to be a nice experience. I've never been anywhere tropical so when it comes to picking the basic areas I am just blindly choosing pretty beach v. pretty beach As I mentioned too, money is a factor...My family is looking to come and not spend too much so I am just trying to keep it reasonable. Both resorts are so nice, it's hard to pick!
  14. Hi! Just wanted to say hello to everyone and happy Saturday! I am working on a destination wedding...hoping to get everything taken care of soon. Planning is coming along slow because my FI and I just moved across the country. We are hoping to do it in winter 2010 but are still picking between a few options. With the recession some of my family members have requested we try to pick something that is cost conservative. We are currently looking at two all inclusive resorts, one is Iberostar Rose Hall in Montego Bay Jamaica and the other is Paradisus Riviera Cancun. Anyone have any insight on either resort?? Thanks for any help and hope everyone is doing well!!
