Hey guys we are getting married in Jamaica at the riu we want to have a civil ceremony but I don't have a birth certificate and trying to get one would be very difficult. Does anyone know if you really need to have this document to get married could I not provide other documents like a drivers license or citizen ship card? thanks

blondebeach I am in the same situation that you are in and I've been trying to figure out what we would say as well if people asked, but I like the idea of having a fake keepsake marriage certificate I hope that the person doing the ceremony wouldn't have a problem with that. Anyone have a sample of what the symbolic wording is like at riu ocho rios. thanks
