  1. Our pictures are up at pictage. Search under Laura and Kevin...let me know if you have questions. Thanks ladies
  2. They come pick it up at your room and have it back the same day. They did a great job on my dress and husbands suit and it was very affordable!
  3. For some more information on the video. They met with us for about 15 minutes a few days in advance and got information about what was most important for the wedding. They also asked our favorite songs and if there was any can't miss moments that we knew of for the wedding. We had them come for 3 and half hours. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and part of the reception through the cake cutting. It was so fun to get that in the mail and re-live a lot of moments your remember, many you did not even see, and many that you would have forgotten. The other nice part is that while most of it is set to music during the vows and speechs they actually go back to the voices so you get to hear what you are saying. This was a last minute decision that we are so happy about. I actually asked my husband for this to be our "wedding present" Contact me with any questions. Happy wedding planning. 4. 2 things... 1 here is the link for some teaser pictures at our photographers blog Craig Wolfrom :: Wedding Photography :: Idaho, California, Mexico, and Beyond We are Laura & Kevin 2 we used a very afforadable videographer company in Playa and are very happy with our wedding video. palarcon@bichostudio.com www.bichostuido.com
  5. We didnt have any issues with stolen items...and some times I worried with the sunglasses, purses, ipods, etc that we would forget and leave out
  6. Same exp with us...some of our guests that waited to book were not able to attend as the price had gone up so much. We were able to get an awesome deal at the Palace of 131 per person for double occupancy in mid-April. It had gone up to 250 per day as the wedding got closer and they had sold out. Luckily our TA had held some rooms for us so it all worked out. I would suggest you look for the early booking deals that some TA's have on their contracts and then watch the flights.
  7. We had 6 tables of 8, 1 of 7, and 1 of 6...it was no big deal. I thought the spacing looked good on all of them
  8. Our tables were round and we did a sweet heart table which was square. We had a band and even though the blew our budget everyone is still talking about them...Kiko and Carlos. People thought we flew them in from the US they were so good! On the Welcome Bags we brought everything from the US, but if I was to do it again I would have used Tere to make them from us. I think they probably would have been cheaper, less luggage, and less of a headache. Hope that helps Laura
  9. Loved loved loved Ilka and her team There is a much cheaper price if you want to day of wedding hair makeup only. But to get her to travel to Playe, she lives about 4 hours away and stay for the night and come out to the resort two days in a row that is the cost. On the vendor fee they did not charge us for her as we promised that she would not eat, drink, or use the resort as she would only be there for a short period of time.
  10. I would book a banquet room over the a la carte every time if possible. It will just be so much more private. On the lighting they were able to turn it down in the specfic room we were in, but I am not sure how that works for every room. Something to ask the WC. Congrats on your wedding as well. I will post some pics when I get them On the reservations we had 19 the night we went to the french and were willing to take a very early reservation at 6pm
  11. We choose the mint breeze package and that was one reason we had to have a banquet room reception. I actually ended up really liking it inside (also with all the rain) The band played 4 hours and I you set the fee with them based on number of breaks, locations, etc
  12. Only the first 3 nights and the first half the week only 20-30 people were there so it was a much more manageable number. Plus they will not do reservations over 30 people.
  13. No large dinners at the buffet and to be honest I would only recommend that if you set that up in advance. We tried that one night and they told us it wasnt possible. I was worried the gazebo wasnt large enough and with 63 people there was more than enough room, but when we showed up the gazebo looks smaller in person and that was one of my concerns...wrong again...lol We asked our friends to host a wedding olympics event and everyone loved and i do mean loved that afternoon. A nice free event that went over great. PS on the files for uploading they cant be saved as 2007...this doesnt support the newer version
  14. Here is my schedule of events and welcome packet. Wedding schedule option 2[1].doc Welcome Packet 4-17-2010.zip
