Hi Ladies - We have given our guests 2 options for each of the 4 courses, we'll just have a list of who gets what at each table. I was also told the round tables only hold 8 without being cramped - but you can get one long table for the bride and groom if you want. We're under 2 months and have lots of small details to figure out but I think some of it may just have to happen when we arrive... I will give Angie credit as she has been more responsive recently.

Oh - for cocktail hour, you get cold apps and champagne for 35pp and then it's a small charge per person over - I think $10 if they are guests.

I'm living in West Africa so calling is tough but I'll try, thanks. At one point we were told the same thing about flowers - they can do it based on color. Is anyone else worried about overbooking at the Royal? I know they are sold out the whole weekend of our wedding (April 17), as is the Grand Porto, so I'm a bit nervous. And does anyone have a copy of what type of events the Royal offers each night? I have been trying to track that down for months...

I added myself to the list (April 17 2010) as I was dropped somewhere along the way but i am mainly writing because I have had MAJOR issues with getting a response from the Royal. Angie had been writing us in Nov/ Dec and while she was very slow, we usually got a response. Now it has been weeks that we have not gotten a response from her or anyone else there. I am very nervous as we have about 2 months left and need both answers to some questions we posed and a confirmation that they received our documents. Does anyone else have a good contact there? I know many people have said they are slow over emails but get better once you arrive but this is crazy. We booked a long time ago and are bringing many people - you'd think the service would be better. I'm disappointed. Also, FYI, the Royal and the Grand Porto are booked for the whole weekend of April 16-17. The Royal filled up about 3.5months ahead of time and the GP about 2.5months ahead of time so have your guests book as soon as they can! Prices for Del Sol depends on who is available but the least expensive deal we got was 5h for $3500 or 6h for $4200.

Hi Ladies - The dj stuff seems pretty confusing - thanks for keeping us all updated as things change. In terms of the sailing prices - has anyone looked into other companies in the area like Fat Cat Sailing or Paradise Catamaras? Maybe they have more consistent prices? And does anyone have experience with playaweddings.com for photography? -Katey (4/17/10)

Hi! Our wedding is 4/17/10 at the Royal PDC. Ceremony and cocktails in the gazebo, party on the beach. We used Busy Bee Press for STD postcards and were really happy with them. We're looking at photographers - does anyone have opinions on Playaweddings.com? Del Sol looks great but a bit expensive and Elizabeth Medina is booked already.
