  1. DeAngelis2be that sounds really lovely too! Has anyone here stayed at Sandals Royal Plantation before?
  2. Thanks for the info Maritza and DowntownLAGirl. Guess what?! I live in Downtown LA at one of the SB Buildings on Spring! That's cool that someone so close to me is getting married in Jamaica too! I really want fireworks too, but those prices are way outside of my budget. I will talk to my planner and see if she can find out more info. What resort have you all decided on?
  3. Oh and All-Inclusive would be preferred. We don't have to penny-pinch but we're not trying to break the bank either! lol
  4. Hello Everyone! We are getting married at Couples Swept Away September 3rd and staying there for a week, but want to honeymoon for another week at another resort, perhaps in another town in Jamaica (for variety). Can anyone suggest an equally wonderful resort to honeymoon at? Thanks! - DizzyDiamond

  6. Hello Everyone! Has anyone here used or plan on using fireworks at your wedding? If so, do the resorts offer it directly as an upgrade or would I have to hire an outside vendor? Also, what are the approximate costs? Thanks!
  7. Hello Everyone! I am getting married at Couples Swept Away September 3, 2011. I'm so excited! I had the same experience as several of you...I was contemplating Sandals until I saw a post about Couples Resorts and fell in love! I plan on doing Trash the Dress and splitting the photographer's time between two days. I can't wait to see everyone's photos! Do you all know what colors you plan on having for you wedding? I still haven't decided. I want an "Island Fairytale" theme, but trying to figure out what look to go with to make that a reality.
  8. Hi Ladies! I'm getting married September 3, 2011 at Couples Swept Away in Negril! Everything is really starting to come together and I'm really excited! I am using an independent planner. She's located here in Los Angeles and we are taking her with us to Jamaica for the wedding day. Her name is Teissia Treynet and she's been awesome thus far, taking care of everything! http://www.firefly-events.com/ - That's her site. Good luck with your planning!
  9. These are just beautiful! Who was your photographer?
  10. Hi everyone! My fiance and I are planning a Jamaica wedding for sometime between December 2010 - February 2011. We expect to have about 30 guests. We are trying to narrow down resorts and any help/advice would be appreciated. I heard that there are weddings every 15 minutes at Sandals and that the ceremony can be rushed and cookie cutter. This is NOT what we want. I do think the Sandals Negril resort looks very beautiful from the photos though. I also have been checking out Couples Tower Isle. It looks smaller but the idea of getting married on a private island appeals to me. It also seems that the Couples resorts include more in their wedding packages. Also any opinions about other Couples resort locations would be welcomed! Thanks!
  11. Hello Everyone! My name is Amarys and I will be getting married in September 2010 in Jamaica! And I am very excited!
