  1. I just ordered and received my future hubby's ring online from Titanium Kay and I could not be more happier with the experience. They have a huge selection and the prices are excellent. The engraving job was superb!
  2. Hi Ginger, Â This is a common practice. In order to reserve a time you have to have a room booked at the resort. As you can only get married if you are a guest they want to make sure you have a room booked before proceeding. And it is just that a deposit so if you change your mind within their guidelines the money is refundable. They call it a room deposit you call it a wedding deposit...at the end of the day it accomplishes the same thing...you get to book the wedding date and time you desire.
  3. Purchase my groom's linen shirt and pants the other day. I can not wait to see how it turns out.
  4. Here are mine! They will be my something blue. I do not wear heels at all so I will keep my fingers cross and hope I do not take a tumble. Â Â Â Â Â Â
  5. I vacationed at beaches turks and caicos back in July 2005 and stayed in the lowest room category. Back then we only had one child and she was almost 2 years old at the time. The room was fine, but we were not there much as most of our time was spent at the caribbean beach pool. Now were are returning in October to get married and we will have two kids. I honestly was going to get the same room as this will not be a honeymoon as we will have two kids so my thoughts where that we would not be in the room much. After much thought and going back and forth, I decided to go with the Jr. Luxury Honeymoon Suite mainly because our youngest will be 13 months and there was the concern if it would be enough room with all our suitcases, a stroller, and my crib request.
  6. The issue with Beach Turks and Caicos is that the bride and groom have to provide sworn statements swearing that have never been married and it can not be dated more than 90 days prior to wedding day. I think Turks and Caicos is the only Sandals/Beaches resort that requires that documentation. So that is why other brides are able to send in their documentation so early.
  7. I actually have something in writing which states that they will allow them on the resort for the dates of the reservation, but even with that I am keeping my fingers crossed.
  8. Hi Jennifer, My issue is that they will not allow outside vendors for photography. I find it ridiculous that I have to pay for a three night stay especially when my photographer is a local. I totally understand that they are running a business, but the fair way to address this issue is maybe charge a reasonable fee if a bride decides to use non Beaches/Sandals photography. They way the policy is now you are almost forced to use their services (which may be hit or miss) as most people do not want to pay for the minimum required stay. It is the brides day, and I do not feel that they should dictate on something as important as pictures.
  9. I will try to post pictures this weekend if I can find my camera. My only real options for shoes are flip flops or wedges. I wear heels at all and my wedding day of all days will not be the day I decide to try.
  10. Thanks ladies! I found another sandal...lol! I guess I can always take a few options and decide at my first fitting. I girl can never have too many shoes!
  11. I went my local mall today with no intention of looking for shoes but ended up finding a great sandal that I want to wear for my wedding. The problem is that it is a really nice wedge sandal but I do not know how appropriate it is for my wedding. Part of me says that this is a destination wedding so traditional type shoes are not a must. But the other side says the wedge heel my be a bit much not to mention it is a bronze type color shoe. What are you opinions on wearing a wedge flip flop sandal on your wedding day? Do you even see the bride's shoes anyway?
  12. I also booked with Roberta and I must say she is a real pleasure to work with. I can not wait to receive my flowers!
  13. I am getting married at Beaches Turks and Caicos and have stayed at several Sandals resorts and there is no requirement that you have to be a couple to stay there. The times I stayed at Sandals I came across singles who traveled in groups (ie girls getaway vacation) and they seemed to be having a great vacation. I actually booked a room for someone who is single and it is not an issue (the rate is a little higher than having two people in a room and splitting the cost). I do not think that Sandals cares what peoples preferences are as long as they are a paying guest.
  14. Your pictures are AMAZING. I am also working with Tropical Imaging (Ileana)to take my wedding pictures. And like you I will be Beaches Turks and Caicos bride. She actually remembered that we both were Beaches brides and sent me an email to check in and to send me a link to your blog. Like I told her, your pictures are making me all the more excited about my pictures. I can not say enough about Ileana. She is great to work with and EXTREMELY accommodating, and I can not wait to meet her in person. I am looking forward to your reviews and most importantly congrats!
