  1. Congrats, Diva!!! I haven't been on here in so long. Everything looks great!!! Hope your wedding was just fabulous!
  2. We used travelers checks to to avoid fees on our cc for purchases out of the country. It was safe and easy.
  3. We used an outside photographer. You do not recieve any discounts if you don't use something in the package. I also had my own make up artist and there was not a discount and no one else could use that part.
  4. I just went back to our pricing we paid $200 for 1/2 hour sax. Are you sure it's $350? I would agree that it's not worth $350. That's outrageous.
  5. I was told when I was planning that they only do one wedding per day. You can move the time of the ceremony if you want to. I think ours was at 5 because you can't start your recpetion at the cascade pool until 7 and I didn't want that much time in between. For our weddding it was SUPER hot for the ceremony and the reception (I think it was the hottest day of the trip). We used the cascade pool which is beautiful and I would do it again there but because it is surrounded by buildings and away from the water there wasn't really a breeze.

I'm not the craftiest but I'm hoping to work something to keep pricing low. How much were yours? Thanks!!! We bought the boxes and the printed part of the invitation from the White Aisle. I did not have the best experience with them so I would not necessarily recommend them. There is a website that sells the boxes from Thailand where she orders from http://www.thaisilkbox.com/Silk-Invitation-Boxes.html. You could pretty much get your invitations printed where ever. We gave her a template of exactly what we wanted. The DIY parts were the assembly, the ribbon around, the punch out flowers and the Promises insert that has a box and velum paper. I will tell you the boxes are pricey. There was a minimum order of 50 so we bought them all used 35 and sold the rest on this forum.
  7. If you are doing a legal ceremony you have to use the judge. He does not do legal weddings from what I understand. Rick's fee is $300.

We were having symbolic but wanted a religous person to perform our ceremony so we contacted Rick York on our own. Not sure if you can book him through EPC now or not.
  9. I'm pretty sure I asked that and they need you to be there 3 days ahead to essentially plan your wedding. There is a lot that they have to prepare on their end.

I'm hoping that things are not too good to be true considering he did not have me sign any contract or make a deposit. We used him and he did a great job. He is very nice. He met with us a few days before the ceremony to go over everything.

Anyone else use Destinationweddings.com? Haha...out TA from Destinationweddings.com was useless for our wedding planning. I know more than her on just about every aspect of our wedding planning. For me their whole pitch was a bunch of crap. They are regular TA's that have a contract with dw.com and know no more than a regular TA and for me she didn't even know that stuff.
  12. I had the same vases 3/table. I packed them very well in a suitcase and only one broke. I did check them. I wrapped each in the paper from the store, bubble wrap and the beach towels from the OOT bags.
  13. It sounds like the options have changed since November. We had a silver package that included food and liquor for 20 people and we had to pay I think $45 per person over that for food and liquor. I'm not sure where the see and sea bar is I haven't heard of that. Seems to me like you would have to pay extra if you have more than 20 people anyway because they have to eat.
  14. Oh my...I'm interested to hear what happened. I hope nothing to to bad.
