I bought two brand gocco's by accident ( I accidently bid for them at the same time on ebay) and I thought I would be a crafty genius using them for my wedding. Well I bought them in March and have decided not to DIY my invites. Westtxgrly, I am using their vendor for the florist only. They stated that you can not use vendors from STT who are not on their approved list. I plan on bringing my own photographer because he is amazing and they said that was fine.

Tiffanyan02, I am actually working with a planner here who is helping me with things as well. I am giving my guests the choice of AI or not as some people are familiar with the island and some are not. I plan to have about 50-75 guests and we are planning on having a travel agent organize everything as well as have a reception on the property. We were looking at the Mahogany Room.

Westxgrly, I am actually in final contracts at the Wyndham after the Marriott took way to long to get back to me. The contact at the Wyndham has been really nice and efficient. We are actually getting married in the St Johns Terrace location and the reception will be in the Mahogany room. We were going to do the beach, but the way to get there is difficult there are 100 stairs.

Kim, I am also considering the Marriott and Havana Blue. I didnt know that you wouldnt be able to have a dancing area. Did that work out well for you ?

Thanks everyone we have definitely decided on the Marriott for the ceremony and we are thinking of offering our friends the option of both hotels and the timeshare as they have bigger suites for families. We are now debating whether we should do Havana Blue or the Marriott food, I am waiting to hear back.

Hey everyone! PynkLemonade, I am also an 8.9.10 bride in St Thomas

So I am planning an 8.9.10 wedding in St Thomas, but I feel torn between the Marriott and Emerald Beach. We initially were thinking of inviting 100+ people, but after we realize that was crazy especially since we were paying for 99% of the wedding we dropped it down to 50-60 invited. I looked at Emerald Beach and the prices are great, but the reviews from tripadvisor have been swaying me. I looked at the Marriott and the ceremony prices are great, but the reception prices are crazy. Does anyone have any other reception sites that are near by, but still offer true Caribbean food? ( I have an issue with going to the caribbean and eating italian or french food)
