  1. So I have been having the same problem with Deyanira not emailing me back and I am about 3 weeks away from me wedding date! I have been asking her if El Patio has outlets so we can hang up white christmas type lights and then hang white paper lanterns over them and Deyanira really isn't understanding what I am asking. Can anyone else help me Is anyone else using paper lanterns as a decoration and if so how are you going to use them? If you hang them up - are you hanging them over string lights so they are illuminated? My fear is that if I don't use string lights over the paper lanterns once it gets dark out they kind of loose their appeal. Help!!!
  2. For those of you who are using paper lanterns as one of the decorations for your reception, I am curious to hear how you are going to use them. Are you buying the plain paper laterns and simply hanging them up around the reception site, or are you also buying strig lights to hang up and then hang one laterns at each light bulb, or is anyone using the battery powered paper lanterns?
  3. I have a question for everyone in regards to the photographs that are included in the Dreams Ultimate package. The description of the package states that 50 photos and a DVD of the ceremony are inlcuded. When I asked the WC about this she stated that the photos are only during the ceremony itself and that photos before or after would be extra and she sent me the information on the three photography packages. This seems weird to me.....50 photos of a 10 minute ceremony? Then the Bronze photography package includes ceremony photos and a half hour photo session with 50 pictures. Isn't this a little redundant if we are already paying for photos in the wedding package? I am totally confused..... can anyone help me? Jamie

She is just very good at words and I feel that she could really give a meaningful ceremony, and it will be very special for us to have someone we love conduct the ceremony for us. We spoke with our WC, and she said that if it is symbolic, they didn't care WHO performed it! Such great news that you will be able to use a pastor you know! That will make it just that much more special! Thanks Tam and Dana! This is good news! It will be nice to have someone we know conduct the ceremony. Especially being that he is a pastor it will feel much more like a wedding now as we are getting legally married before hand and I was worried the ceremony wouldn't feel "real". Sucks that they count the bride and groom in the guest count though! Jamie
  5. My Fiance and I just received an RSVP acceptance from one of the pastors at his parents church. Does anyone know if they will let us have him conduct the ceremony rather than having the WC conduct it (we are having the symbolic ceremony)? Also - this is a stupid question but does anyone know if they count the bride and groom in the guest count for the wedding packages? Jamie

Eliana Eliana - I am going to us an I-Pod for the reception - just seems so much easier. Jamie

I would love to see your reception in Himitsu and thank you for your kind offer of using some of your decorations. Very generous of you. If every bride could help the next it would make everyones wedding that bit cheaper! Not sure where we're having our reception yet, have emailed Carolina to find out. Jamie - I'll be at DPC on your wedding day too. Maybe we should all meet up? Cath I think that is a great idea! Three forum brides at at Dreams at the same time... how fun!! Jamie

And hang them at different heights to create depth just my 2 cents. I too wanted to do the paper lanterns but my reception is going to be held on the El Patio terrace as this is the only spot left available that night. Must be several weddings on the same day as mine! Does anything think that I will still be able to somehow rig the lanterns on rope to hang at the El Patio Terrace too?

Just barely missing each other's wedding! I would love to meet up though! Thanks for sending your brochure! I think it looks great! I need to get started on a brochure for my guests. Jamie
