Hello, My name is Jamie and my fiance is Carl. We got engaged on Sept. 29th, 2008 and we are planning on a Feb. 2010 wedding. A little over a year away! We orignally wanted to get married in Costa Rica, but we had difficulties reaching people there for information and difficulties planning a Costa Rica wedding, and our parents were persuading us to choose Hawaii instead. So, we are excited to have a Maui wedding instead. I work full-time (at a very busy job), and go to school full-time, so trying to plan a wedding on top of that is turning out to be quite a challenge for me! I don't really know what I'm doing, or how to work his forum yet. I could use all the help I could get! I do have a couple questions: Is it necessary to get a wedding coordinator? We are trying to watch our cost. We've contacted hotels directly, is it wise to go with their packages? Has anyone stayed or been married at the Maui Prince Hotel? What is your opinion? Any advice for a Maui wedding? Thanks! I'm excited to get started! Jamie
