  1. Thank you! I worked with an outside wedding coordinator for day-of coordination only. There are a few on the island.
  2. Yes, we brought them with us. American Airlines let us take two bags each up to 50 pounds. We made a trip to the island about 3 weeks before the wedding and left much of the stuff then.
  3. I've put up the day-after photo shoot Wedding Planning Is Killing Me: Trash. That. Dress. April 7, 2009 and the honeymoon write-up: Wedding Planning Is Killing Me: View from the Parrot Cay Thank you for reading! That concludes my wedding blog. Kind of sad to see it go. If any prospective Turks&Caicos brides need any help, please always feel free to drop me a line.
  4. I've got the reception up now with pics: Wedding Planning Is Killing Me: April 6, 2009 Reception
  5. I've finally got the ceremony up (with pics): Wedding Planning Is Killing Me: April 6, 2009 Ceremony Now just reception, after-party and trash the dress shoot left to write-up. :-)
  6. Hi Iulia, I pretty much only know about the Gansevoort Wymara on Providenciales. I'd check them out. As they're newly opened, they may have your wedding date. Contact: "Grant Friedman" <grant@gansevoort.tc>. -Karol
  7. Thank you, Heather! I really recommend you honeymoon there. I wish we had stayed there after the wedding (we switched to Parrot Cay which I'll be blogging about soon). Gansevoort was just so amazing.
  8. My pre-ceremony chapter is now up, with pics: Wedding Planning Is Killing Me: April 6, 2009 Pre-ceremony I think brides may be inspired by the bathtub pic. :-) My brother saw it and wanted one of himself the next day, lol: Ronnie on Flickr - Photo Sharing!
  9. Taxchick, T&C is fairly expensive but, I think, worth it for what you're getting. It's private and remote (yet reachable with direct flights from NY, Miami, Philly) in a way a lot of other islands are not.
  10. Thanks, Blacksred! I'm working on Day 2 now! I'm happy to answer any questions for brides on this board. Please email me at ksheinin at gmail.com (replace "at" with @)
  11. I've got the latest update with pics, here: Day One
  12. TCWed10, the weather was really perfect. Everyone hung out on the beach, swam and snorkeled all day and then evening was beautiful, no sweater or wraps required. Winnie, I think the only all-inclusive you're missing on your list is Club Med. I didn't visit any of these but I think they are the only 3 ai on the island. Breakfast was included in our Gansevoort stay and they hooked up a 10% off deal for our guests at the restaurant. You can negotiate stuff like that with your hotel (and, again, the Gansevoort were really, really willing to work with us), especially depending on the time of year you have your wedding.
  13. I tried to repost a write-up of our wedding hotel from my blog but the pics aren't working for me here. My write-up with pics is here: Wedding Planning Is Killing Me: We're back! I highly recommend our wedding hotel, The Gansevoort Turks&Caicos and am happy to answer any questions from prospective T&C brides. -Karol
