  1. I would recommend the Dreams Resort in Los Cabo. It was amazing! All the Dreams resorts we have been to are all wonderful!
  2. Re: Married in Cabo! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just got back from my brother's wedding at Dreams, in Cabo on May 20/09. It was the most fabulous place I've ever been. The wedding was beautiful and we couldn't of asked for a better reception! We had no complaints about anything and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a beautiful wedding and a great time. We were there for a week, but I wished that we would have stayed for a week and a half to 2 weeks! I just wanted to let other brides to be, that have planned to have their weddings soon, not to cancel because of the swine flu scare in Mexico. There was no problem or any hint of that going on in Cabo (or at the airports) what so ever! I feel terrible for the ones that cancelled their plans because of it, as there was no need to do so. My brother had his wedding on the beach and their reception was on the Oceana Terrace (it's more private over there, by the second pool) which turned out, for us, to be the best place. We had about 25 people. So if you're going there soon - Don't worry, relax and enjoy! - Laura-Ashley Edmonton, Alberta Canada
  3. Just got back from Dreams, in Cabo (brother's wedding May 20/09) and I wanted to let everyone, that is having a wedding soon, not to worry about the Swine Flu. No sign, what so ever, of it anywhere or even any mention of it! I feel sorry for the people that changed their plans or cancelled because of it - there was no need to. We stressed out about it before hand but decided that we were going ahead no matter what (unless the flights got cancelled) and told everyone who was going that they had to make up their own minds. Everyone ended up going and we had the best time ever! The hotel, food, entertainment, pools were awsome. The wedding and the reception was more than we could have dreamed for. Everything turned out just beautiful! So just go ahead with your plans and don't worry - just enjoy! Just to let you know, the wedding was held on the beach (behind the Gazebo) with the reception on the Oceana Terrace (it's a little more private on that side of the hotel, which is by the second pool). Their colors were purple and champagne/cream. Yessica may use some of the photos for their website once the photographer gets them developed so you may be able to see some photos of the set up. 4. Hi Everyone! Just got back from Dreams, Los Cabos on May 23/09. My brother got married there on May 20/09. It was amazing! Everything turned out just beautiful. No complaints about anything. The hotel, the grounds, pools, food, service and weather was just great! I'd recommend the Dreams Resort to anyone. I just wanted to tell anyone who is planning to go there soon (to get married) not to worry and not to change or cancel their plans because of the Swine Flu scare. There is no problem, what so ever, not at the airports either! I feel really bad for the ones that did cancel, cause there was no reason to have changed their plans. So go - you don't have to worry - just relax and enjoy! I just wish I would have stayed longer than 1 week! My brother had their wedding on the beach and the reception at the Oceana Terrace (a bit more private area) and it was excellent. Yessica asked if she could use some of the pictures for her website so if you happen to see photos later on, with purple and champagne coloured ribbons tied around chairs, that would be from his wedding. 6. Is anyone worried about the swine flu in Mexico right now. my wedding is in 2 weeks!!! I really don't want to have to cancel. What are other people doing and think about this whole situation?
  7. I was wondering if anyone, that has already had their wedding at Dreams, Los Cabos, would give advice on the pros and cons of having the wedding on the beach compared to having it at the gazebo? Which do you think would be better? We noticed in one bride's video, when she walked out to the Gazebo, she had other people from the hotel walking all around where she was walking (down the so called aisle). Then, on the beach is it hard to walk (down the aisle) in the sand or on their walkway? Also if it's windy does that cause a problem for sound (video), sand blowing around, etc? Which is better for photos and also for the guests seating? What did you find was the best time in the day for the wedding and reception? Also, how was the Oceana Terrace for the reception? The wedding is May 20, 2009 with approx. 40 people. Any and all other advice is welcome, we would really appreciate it, thankyou! Laura-Ashley
