  1. Just a little note for NH-brides-to-be, I just got married at the NH on March 19th and everything was wonderful! Mariana, the wedding coordinator was great to work with and she did a wonderful job of bringing my visions to life. I had given her a picture of my flowers and cake that I wanted, and they turned out looking like replicas. Also, I used the resort photographer, Versace. He was AMAZING!! He had alot of really good ideas and was receptive to my ideas as well. He took about 650 pictures on my wedding day. I also did TTD the next day, and was very pleased with the pics that he took. 2. Hello Everyone, I just got married in Punta Cana, DR on March 19th. I know that I will have to wait about 3 months to receive my legal paperwork, but I was wondering if I can start writing and using my new name before I get this paperwork I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. Thank you! Carmen
  3. Welcome to the Forum! You will find so much info on here about anything you could dream of! I am getting married on March 19th (very soon!!), and am so thankful I found this site!
  4. I just thought of more questions! What wedding package did you choose?
  5. Love the pics!! Also, thanks for the FYI about the photo price list! What photo package did you choose?
  6. Zilka, I am getting married at the NH on March 19th and am choosing the resort photographer. Are you going to get a private photographer or use the one from the resort?

I actually never even saw one person getting stopped at security. At canadian customs they didn't ask me about it and I didn't mention it. The girl was more interested in chatting about us getting married - although I don't think its a problem bringing sand into the country cause I think people do it all the time. If you want to see my frame, check out my wedding pics http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t38085. Well, you made me feel alot better about bringing real sand- thats for sure! I am going to do what I had originally wanted to do- use real sand. Your pics are GREAT!! Your photographer did a wonderful job. When I got to the one of the sand ceremony, I laughed out loud because you have what seemes to be the exact same frame I have. My frame was 'Umbra' brand and it had 4 panes if glass...does that sound familiar?? Also, your flower bouquet was pretty. Was it made of orchids? Thank you so much!

I figured if they had questionned me I would just say we brought the sand with us....I wouldn't worry about it! Thanks for your quick reply! Your profile wedding pic looks really nice Did you use alot of sand from the beach? Or mostly colored sand that you bought? Did the customs people look at it all, or did it just go right through the scanner?
  9. Also, we are getting married in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
  10. Hello Everyone, At our wedding we are doing the sand ceremony (with a picture frame). I would like to use some actual sand from the resort, but am worried about customs, and whether they will take it away from us when we try to travel with it. I would prefer to put it in my carry-on so it doesnt get too mixed up, but will put in my big luggage if needed. If it was in my big luggage and I packed the sand really tight, would it get really mixed up? Has anyone had any trouble with customs or security when trying to transport the sand ceremony frame/jar/vase? Your help would be greatly appreciated and will ease my mind! Thank you!
  11. Congrats for your upcoming wedding! I am also getting married there! March19! Have you confirmed everything?
  12. You're right, your pictures are nice and bright, and we have the same wedding time. Thank you You eased my mind!
  13. Hey Everyone, My wedding is coming soon and I am starting to worry a little bit about my wedding time... Our wedding is scheduled for 4:00pm (March 19) and I am worried that it is going to start getting dark while we are trying to take pictures. I wanted my pics to be nice and bright. What time does it get dark I wonder?? What do you think of 4:00? Carmen
  14. Hey Everyone, Just wondering if anyone has used or is going to use the videographer at the resort? Carmen
