  1. Welcome! I am also thinking about the Marriott (in 2009). We did a site visit in September. They have two beautiful hotels, and Josefina is wonderful! The gazebo is pretty, and the beach option is nice (but not as private). We also looked at the Hilton and Fiesta Americana. Are you doing a site visit? They are very helpful. If not, I'd be happy to share my experience.

Plan B sucks, and it really sucked that we paid to use the gazebo for a Catholic ceremony since it's usually never allowed. I hope it doesn't happened to any other brides. Just make sure you have the back-up plan all set and everything to your liking. We didn't see the back up room until we have to begin the ceremony. They pretty much just moved everything that you paid for indoors and not compensate or anything for the view that you lost. What was your Plan B location? Josefina showed us the Plan B for the Casa Magna. It was covered, but still outside. I think it had a fountain. It was the best Plan B of all the hotels we saw. It still sucks that you have to pay full price for something you weren't expecting.
  3. I had a site visit in Septmeber, and I asked about the photographer they use in their packages. It is Jose Gallardo. BTW, Josefina is awesome. She is easy to work with and very responsive. If you haven't been to the hotels, they are beautiful. Casa Magna is at the top of our list.

We were planning on a beach wedding, but the gazebo option has us questioning... Are you using their photographer or going with another? Sorry to be so nosey. It is good to hear from another Marriott Casa Magna bride.
  6. Good afternoon Ladies! My FI and I are planning a small ceremony on the beach in Cancun. We will have around 20 people. We are wondering if it will be necessary to rent a sound system for guests to hear the minister and our vows or if they will be able to hear us without it. We don't need it for music, because we are planning on hiring a Mexican trio. What is your opinion? For those who were married in Cancun, do you think you needed a sound system? Thanks!
  7. Hello All, My name is Stephanie. FI and I are planning to get married at the Marriott Casa Magna in Cancun in Aug/Sept of 2009.
