  1. Pazoop! Your wedding looked like it was absolute perfection. Your photos are amazing! I do have a few questions for you...we're staying at Dreams as well and we're wanting to do a Welcome Dinner the evening before the wedding. Our travel agent isn't much help in finding out costs (our agent kind of sucks but I'm starting to think it's too late in the game to switch -our guests needed travel info.). What did you pay for the welcome dinner? Was it included in the cost since Dreams is an AI?
  2. Hey guys. I'm not sure whether or not this has been posted in the past but how did you schedule/contact Fernando to see if he's available? I know Nicole is insanely busy so I like to leave her alone when possible so I'd love to get the info. here.
  3. Hey girlies! Vanessa and I are still in on the order and we're absolutely fine with whatever design pops up as the favorite. I'm thinking that we will only really need 50 cups. I was being a bit, ahem, ambitious when I threw out the whole 75 cup thing.
  4. I think that we all have our fingers crossed for no rain. Go with the flow. It's your day and as long as both of you're there it will be perfect! Quick question...what is the general rule about people with DWs registering for gifts? Vanessa and I decided not to (because we're already asking people to spend a gabillion dollars on travel and boarding) and now some of our guests are freaking out about it. I just kind of think it would be super tacky to post registery information on our site. Any advice/opinions?
  5. Yari? a baby! That's amazing! It must've been a VERY NICE honeymoon (just kidding). So that's another question...if you ship do you ship it to Nicole or your hotel? Also, did anyone find alternate transportation to get their guests to the dock? We decided on the Dreams PV and we're curious if the hotel has some kind of with-the-room transport to the marina? Hopeful in Arkansas..
  6. Hey! I'd be more than happy with just 50 but will take the extra 25 if no one else jumps into our order. Andi, the plan seems perfect. I'm cool with whatever PV logo (i'm pretty easy to get along with) and am more than happy to mail a check! I'm so excited! One more thing checked off the list! Sidenote: How are you guys getting all of your stuff to PV? Extra suitcase? Shipping it to Nicole beforehand? I'm not really sure how it works.
  7. Ooh girls! Count me in too. I could do 50-75. They're awesome but there is NO POSSIBLE WAY that Vanessa and I need 4 million hyper colored cups. Unless, of course, the hyper color t-shirts ever come back in style. Then I might be mad I didn't splurge the rest of the way...
  8. I'm checking out the RIU Vallarta and it looks gorgeous -and much cheaper. Thanks so much for the suggestion. Wow, I thought that I started planning too early for this wedding but now I feel like I'm up against a serious deadline. The many travel agents that I've talked to here in Arkansas don't seem to be willing to work very hard for a decent price and take weeks to respond. I tried to get in touch via email a couple of times with the BDW agents but didn't get an answer. Ugh! I'm excited though. The RIU Vallarta is the best news I've seen in awhile!
  9. It's for the Dreams in Nuevo Vallarta -the new one? I think it seems a bit pricey too. I've tried to explain to our agent that the lower the rates the more people we will have book but she can't seem to go any lower. I live in Arkansas but am not really finding an agent that I like here. Is it a bad idea to go through an out of state agent?
  10. Hey, Vanessa and I are getting married at Las Caletas on Nov. 7 of 2009. We haven't been quoted anything less than $450 per person (double occupancy) for a three night stay. Does that sound on target or should I be travel agent shopping?
  11. Hey girls. I have a question about lodging too actually. A bunch of my guests are staying at the new Dreams in Nuevo Vallarta but it's pricey for some other guests. What is a place that's like one step down? I want everyone to have a really nice, really luxurious trip but I don't want it to break their piggy banks -any suggestions? Also, is it better/cheaper to get airfare with the room or separate? I have two agents telling me two totally different things and they're making my head spin. I'm so glad that I started planning so ridiculously early... Jamie ---have the time of your life. Congrats!
  12. Andi -I went to Priscilla of Boston. I was completely blown away by how gorgeous the store was. And...when I got there four roses (for my mom, sister in law, cousin and I), a huge silver platter with wine glasses and champagne, chocolates and gummy bears (weird, but it's my thing) were waiting for me. Vanessa had it all delivered with a really sweet note. It was incredible and what she had written completely put my mind at ease. Within 40 minutes I had found the most gorgeous dress, my mom had purchased it and we were on our way to a bar to celebrate. All of this wedding planning stuff is so much more fun than I had ever expected.
  13. Thank you guys so much for all of your stuff girls. It definitely helped. I'm SO excited -I went to Denver this weekend to shop with my mom and sister in law for my dress and found THE ONE after about 40 minutes. It's so funny. I never really believed in that "when you see the right dress you'll know" stuff but it was so true for me.
  14. Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone has a sample itinerary from the day of the wedding that I could steal some ideas from..You know, like when the guests board the boat etc? I'm filling in the areas on our Web site and am coming up blank on some of the details. The wedding isn't until Nov. 7 of 09 so we haven't really sat down with the details yet.
