  2. Welcome!! And good luck finding your dream wedding location.
  3. I didn't use a calligrapher for my invites. I did all 150 of them by hand using a Pilot gold marker with an extra fine point. I have fairly decent handwriting so they came out pretty good. I actually had guests comment on how the writing on the envelope looked and they thought that I had hired someone to address them. Have you thought about running the envelopes through a printer with a calligraphy or script style font instead of using labels? I think it may give it a cleaner look than using labels.
  4. Hello my fellow brides, I am selling my La Sposa wedding dress. The style name is "Gabon". Believe it or not, I have 3 dresses so I definitely need to get rid of one. The dress is a size 12 and it is ivory with silver beading. I'm asking for $500 plus shipping or best offer. I'm a street size 4-6 (depending on the designer) I have no clue how to post pics so if anyone is interested, you can PM me and I will email the pictures to you.
  5. Happy Planning. You'll find tons of ideas and planning tips here
  6. I was there in August and they were doing some renovations so you kinda had to walk around the digging. I'm not sure when the renovations will be over. My fiance is from the Bahamas so I travel there pretty frequently when we go visit his family and friends. I initially looked into getting married at Pelican Bay but I had a bad experience when I went to the appointment. I waited so long for the woman who I scheduled the appointment with that I fell asleep!! I ended up leaving and never meeting with her so that left a very bad taste in my mouth. I did get a chance to take a peek at the gazebo where they conduct the ceremony and it was just decent to me...not wow. I'm sure when its all decorated and so on that it can look very pretty. I hear that the rooms are very nice although I didn't see it for myself. Have you tried the Sheraton/Westin resort? It's right across the street from Pelican Bay and they have a nice open area and a pretty gazebo for weddings. I hear its a little pricey though but the resort is great. My wedding party and guest will be staying there when I get married next month.
  7. I came across a company called Premier Event Group. They plan events throughout several of the islands of the Bahamas. I cannot specifically recommend them because I have never used their services but they do have a website and their work looks pretty good. The website is Premier Event Group Hope this helps
  8. Welcome. I'm a noobie also. Just curious, what made you choose St. Lucia?
  9. Welcome. I'm pretty new here too.
  10. Thanks for the warm welcome. Sah, I am getting married in Freeport (Grand Bahama Island)
  11. Fanny, I don't have enough points either . I absolutely love these. If someone doesn't mind can you email me the files as well or send me a PM on how I can get them please.
  12. Definitely the Pronovias dress. I think it is much more flattering and classic. I think when you look back at your wedding photos for years to come that the pronovias dress will have a beautiful and timeless look.
