  1. Erinleigh, do you have a website for Tropical Storm? Thanks!
  2. Does anyone know if they book up fairly quickly? My fiance wants to wait until we get down there to reserve spots.
  3. I was told that they have an ipod dock AND a CD player, and that you can play whatever you like in either format. If you don't bring your own music, they'll play Ave Maria off a CD. Hope this helps!
  4. I live in Chicago too, and the only airline that flies direct to Punta Cana is USA3000. But currently, they only fly out on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Most of my guests are taking connecting flights through Delta or Spirit which include a very short layover, about an hour or so. Thankfully, no one's been stuck with an overnight flight. I would definitely check out the timetables at Delta, Spirit, and USA3000. You should be able to avoid the red-eyes altogether. Hope this helps!
  5. I just went to B&BW today and got a dozen of the cream colored bags...$5 a piece, as promised! I also found a coupon online for $10 off a $30 purchase, which made them even cheaper. (Just google "Bath & Body Works coupon," and you can print it out - it's good through December 31.) Thanks to Kayce for finding this amazing deal! What a great find!!

    Mexico or DR

(FYI: I've been to Punta Cana but never to Mexico. I relied on firsthand reports from friends when I was debating between the two.) The DR really does have beautiful beaches. It seems less crowded with a more adult clientele (i.e. fewer spring-breakers and young children). It's one of the most affordable destinations in the Caribbean, and I also wanted to choose a place that not many of our guests had been. But be aware that if you go to the DR, it will be a total R&R trip - there isn't much to do besides lie around on the beach (which was fine with me). It was also fun to go someplace that wasn't overrun by Americans; a large percentage of guests were European. Mexico definitely has more to do as far as sight-seeing and tourism. It's still really affordable, and there are more flights there than to the DR. I've heard the food is better, and that the water is clearer and calmer; Punta Cana sits on the Atlantic so the water was cooler and a little rougher than I had anticipated. Mexico is certainly a more familiar destination, which is also something to take into account. I know the TripAdvisor forums have several Mexico vs. DR topics; try checking those out. But don't worry too much - I don't think either choice could be a bad one. Good luck!

Just a tip! This actually works?! I thought it only worked in movies! LOL...thanks for the tip!

Just let me know your email address and I can send it to you. For some reason I'm having issues trying to post the image on here. Hi, could you forward me the picture too? Thanks so much! 9. I have a huge gap...my ceremony is at noon! I was stressing about the big time lag too. But I've concluded that none of my guests (all family and very close friends) will hold it against me if I don't have something specific planned. I can't count how many times I've gone to a wedding with a 2 o'clock ceremony and a 6 o'clock cocktail hour with nothing to do in between. The beauty of an all-inclusive is that there is always food and drink available somewhere...and at least your guests are killing time on a beautiful Caribbean beach and not Alsip, Illinois. Good luck planning!
