  1. A $4000 budget for elopement is plenty.. if you are looking more center-strip then consider Planet Hollywood or (less expensive) Imperial Palace. Both are sufficient and not horribly expensive. A word of advice - unless you want to drop half your budget on photography, then do NOT use ANY of the chapels or casino chapels. Most casino chapels you'll pay $1000+ just for the disc of images. Expecially stay away from any chapel that uses Cashman, as they are difficult to work with, hard-sell, and way overpriced. Have you considered an off-strip ceremony -maybe up on Mt. Charleston or at a nice local park? Many vendors can package officiate, transportation, photography, etc. for a reasonable price -probably less than just the purchase of your photos. We're doing a wedding for a couple in October at the top of Mt. Charleston, the location overlooks the back-side of the mountain with greenery for a mile or so, then beautiful reddish desert and mountains as far as the eye can see. At sunset, the mountains in the background GLOW with firey red. Disclaimer: Yes, we are vendors, and yes we can provide these services - but what we post is FACT. We see brides being over-charged every day by the chapel's photography services.

  3. The Mandalay Bay buffet is very good - nice selection, etc. I don't know what percentage of guests your 6 kids represent, but if it's a small party, I'd consider Excalibur's buffet instead... food is still good, it's less expensive, and more kid-friendly. If you are concerned about the kids, then FireFly is pretty much "out".. FireFly is more upscale...
  4. About 50% of the weddings that we perform at have 40 or less people. Most have a great time, dance, etc. but the main reason for getting a DJ is so that you can have a "host" at the party... someone to keep everything moving, announce special events, etc. It also makes it so you don't have to spend all the time making iPod playlists, etc. etc.
  5. That's cool, didn't intend on trying to change anyones mind Just a neat option at a nice place, for cheap! Hey did you ever find a place for your dinner? Did you talk with Kathy at Cheeseburger?
  6. Welcome and good luck planning. Obviously I doubt we could do anything for you here in Vegas but if you're ever in town then look us up... look in the Vegas section for "Ask The Vegas Resident" or PM us if you need any advice, etc.
