  1. Hello All, I do not see a thread just for AW and bridal shower pictures. Figured I will post here since we are all October Brides!!! I had my bridal shower this past weekend. I had a great time. My friend, Soky, threw the party for me. Check out the pictures: Snapfish: Share Interstitial:Registration
  2. Annluv, Thank you!!! I used wedding websites - wedOrama - start your wedding website today!
  3. My bridal shower is tomorrow and I have no idea what I will wear. Going to pull something out of the closet. We leave in 18 days!!! 21 days till the big day..... Anyone doing a long veil? If I do a veil, it will be long, but I can not decide either way yet.
  4. D n D Time is going by very fast. What do you have left to do? I still need to work on music, decide if I want a veil and of course start packing all the gifts. :-(
  5. Hello all, I finally took the time to take pictures of my gifts bags. Life has been busy...wedding party drama, TA drama and last minute items for the wedding. I still need to purchase gifts for the bestman and our Fathers. I have left that for my FI and of course he is waiting until the last minute. I have made T-shirts for the Parents and I will have to take pictures of those later and post. This is my first time posting pictures and I hope I did this correctly. I have tried to size the pictures to a medium size, I hope I did it correctly. 6. Honestly, I think it is financially irresponsible to purchase a ring that one can not afford. This belief in 3 months salary is so old and out dated. FI and I purchased rings together. Quality and a style I liked were more important to me versus quantity (size). Going broke to buy a ring even before you are married is not wise.
  7. The price of flights depends on where you and your guests are flying from. I would suggest signing up with travelocity and other sites so that they email you when the price changes. If you have more than 10 people traveling at the same time and from the same location you can get a group discount from many airlines. You can check this with a TA. Many of our guests used travelocity for both airfare and hotel package.
  8. I did as the other ladies, have the registry on the website. For the invites we put the website information on the back of the envelopes.
  9. I agree with what the other ladies have stated. I, too, feel you pain. Most of the people attending our wedding is FI's family. I will have my mom, dad, and best friend only attending from my side. Feel free to vent away!!!
  10. If you want to spend the $$$ you could do a lace front...I considered it seriously... but did not want to spend the dollars and only wear it once... Maybe you could have the front and back out and the middle breaded and weaved there.
  11. Hey Diva, I made an apt with the Salon at the resort. BUT...we are getting married in the DR and those ladies definitely know how to do "chocolate" hair. My regular stylist will be some tracks in my hair before I leave. The style I chose needs more length than I have. I plan to get them put in the weekned before I leave.

  13. Decided to stick with the package. With the number of guest attending our wedding it was cheaper to go with the package versus al carte...but it may not be for everyone. The cocktail reception comes with the package.
