  1. I was wondering if any Riviera Maya brides have either recently gotten back from there or are currently there (you never, know. you might be checking the forum)? The reason I ask is b/c the week of our wedding the forecast is scattered thunderstorms ALL WEEK! I'm just wondering if this is the type of place where the rain comes in for a bit and then clears up for the day or if I may be in trouble?!...... I hope it's the other. Thanks! 3 more days til we leave!!!!
  2. Great list. This is exactly what I was looking for on the forum.
  3. I just ordered some program fans (I was too lazy to do them) and some wish cards. I thought they were really cute. http://www.etsy.com/get_convo_image....mage_type=full Handmade Weddings on Etsy - Wish Bowl Cards (set of 24, assorted) by alysonc3 Etsy has also became my fav site.
  4. I'm getting excited girls.....We are leaving in 8 days and the wedding is in 13!!! I'll try to post pics when I come back but I haven't been very good at doing that. Diana, that's interesting they say $6 per person extra for the toast and cake. It seems like they nickel and dime you to death on things.
  5. I really like Etsy. We are going to use someone from there to do our wedding ceremony program fans.

  7. Congratulations! It's awesome how you turned a bad situation into a good one. Remember it's not necessary about the wedding it's the days that follow and it looks like you and your hubby will have a lifetime of happiness.
  8. I agree w/the ladies. You need to invite her. If she comes good. If not no skin off your back.
  9. We ordered my FI ring online as well. It is also a tungsten ring. We got it at titaniumkay.com. It was really fast! We ordered it and had it in hand in less than a week. We also got it engraved and the nice thing about that is they sent him the ring to make sure he liked it and then we sent it back for the engraving. We had it back in hand in less than a week. Keep in mind though if your getting tungsten and you go to a jeweler to get his ring size make sure you tell them you're getting tungsten b/c the sizing is a little different.
  10. David's Bridal - Cotton sateen strapless dress with ruching and in seam pockets. I didn't know how to post the pic for my BM dresses so this is the link. My girls absolutely love them! I got them in Horizon. It's a really pretty blue.

This whole thing is just being made worse b/c of the media. For those of you that are getting married in Jun do you have everything picked out already for your wedding or are you planning on doing it once you get there? I feel like I'm missing something.....or not asking the questions I need to, to get things done.

Just wanted to say that everything was perfect so no need to worry. THe resort is huge, food is great and service is awesome. The beach is beautiful, flowers were perfect...i was really worried before going down since there is not too much information available but everything was just right. We emailed back and forth with Lupita but once we got there Paola was our coordinator, she was really good. I got my hair done in the salon...for the bride it is an automatic $100...they only charged me $80 since my hair was fairly simple...they do an amazing job on hair at the spa. We just had friends and family do our photos so i cannot provide much info there. The beach set up is beautiful. There is a photographer on the resort, there are some photos in the office when you have your interview and they are very good quality so you would probably be safe going with the resort photographer. You cant really take a DJ because there is no private reception unless you pay for one somewhere on the resort. Maybe email Lupita and ask her. IF you bring your own photographer you have to pay the extra $70+ for them to come on the resort as you would if you had guests coming from off resort. The reception is just held in one of the restaurants so you cannot do speeches or anything like that because there is no mic and it is open to the public. The wedding cake they provided was nice as well. Hope this information helps. I have a question about your wedding. I'm a little frustrated b/c like you said there really isn't a lot of information out there about this resort and I'm just now finding out about some extra costs. 1) How many people did you have? We have about 70 people that are coming and if the reception is just in one of their restaurants how is it going to accommodate all of us? I can't believe they charge $18 per person for open bar and $39 for food when it's an all-inclusive. AARGH!!!
