  1. Hey! Your wedding is this weekend?! Wow, lots of luck and congrats! Can't wait to read your report!
  2. Nice shots! Thanks for posting them!
  3. Ohhh! I love these.... DH and I talked about getting married 2 months into our relationship, but didn't make it "official" until we were about 9 and a half years together. By the time we got married, we were going on 10 years and here we are on our 12th year!
  4. Hi there! DH and I took 10 years to get married too! LOL! Ended up tying the knot in the Caribbean. (Bahamas on Castaway Cay via DCL.) I'm a newbie too...I love anything wedding related and seeing pics, etc. so I joined. Let me know if you've got any questions!
  5. I didn't know about the Costco discount on the custom stamps! Thanks! I know I could use them for other things in the future.

    Hi!

Ahhh... thank you so much ladies! It's great to be here and definitely, if someone has ?s on anything, I'd be glad to offer my brains.
  7. Yep. I plan on having a party for each of my babies too! Not necessarily a baby shower, but at least a BBQ or some party to celebrate their birth. I also don't plan on finding out the sex of the baby so I won't know if I'll have everything I need for a boy/girl the second time around. If anyone is concerned about the etiquette thing, you could always put "no gifts please" on the invitation so people don't feel obligated to have a gift but can also bring one if they want to. It's wonderful that you're throwing a party for your friend...you're a great friend! Can you be my friend?? LOL!
  8. EWWWW! GROSS! LOL! What a way to "hide" B.O. Now every time I think about wedding bouquets, I'll have that in my head. Good thing I'm already married! Sorry bride-to-bes! And EW...what kind of a honeymoon would THAT be?!
  9. This is an interesting thread! I know what you mean about being more "old fashioned." We were just like that, but it wouldn't have been a big deal if we got pregnant before our wedding. We were together for 10 years before getting hitched! Ain't nothing old fashioned about that! LOL! In hindsight though, we would have been married before finishing university (or shortly after) and started having kids ASAP. Unfortunately, not everyone can get pregnant on the honeymoon or even in the first few years of trying. I know plenty of women who wished they would have been married sooner, or at least started trying for a baby before their wedding 'cause of problems (explained or unexplained) fertility issues.

    Hi!

Thank you! It's great to be here! Had a week-long wait for activation... I was getting a bit antsy there! LOL Mods must have been on vacation. Good luck with your wedding plans!
  11. Yikes! I've never heard of the 4 day etiquette rule on the RSVPs either! I must be one of those annoying wedding guests... LOL! (Sorry) I DID read about a 30-day rule-of-thumb though. If you didn't put a deadline on it, then maybe that's what they're thinking too...30 days? The ladies here definitely have good points/suggestions. Hope it works out for the better!
  12. Personally, I don't think you should HAVE to pay for anybody's way to your DW. We didn't for ours, but I did do a lot of the planning and booking tickets for the planes, van rentals, park/hotel packages and cruise (charged on their credit cards, and split expenses for some) so I didn't feel bad. There were around 25 people. It could have been more wedding planning time for me, but I helped out with that instead. Like someone else mentioned, they get a vacation out of it too, so don't feel obligated.

    Hi!

Hello everyone! I was married on Castaway Cay in the Bahamas a few years ago. I just love anything wedding-related and am loving this site so far! Seems like there are more and more destination weddings each year. Lots of luck and love to all of the newly engaged!
