I'll send Sandra an email and see what she says as well
  3. Thank you everyone. We just want everything to be simple and laid back. The Kenny Chesney song we thought summed it up pretty good I think we are going to have that playing while everyone is being seated!! I can't wait! 19 more days and we have 21 people booked. Craziness.
  4. I made these a few months ago but would like to share with you our invitations that I made. With ordering paper, the hole punch, ribbon and the palm tree stamp I think I only paid about $80 all together and just having the time to make them! The first picture is the invite and behind it is the envelope, nothing special, I just stamped on the palm tree
  5. Is this package for the Majestic Colonial? I thought we had to pay for the Bouquet and boutonniere seperate? Or is it really included in the package? Because that would be really cool!!!
  6. Hi, we just got our paper work back from WEDO, it costs $250. They mailed us the documents in less than a week and they even messed up my name on one of the forms, all we did was call and in 2 days sent us the document with the correct name. Now we just have to send it to the resort and hope it's legit But after reading so many Brides that did the same thing I'm feeling confident!!
  7. I really enjoyed your website/blog, very informative and great ideas!! I especially like the mugs you got from the dollar store. Thank you for sharing

I didn't think to do this, but it seems that a lot of people are putting together itinerarys and brochures to hand out to guests. Is it awful if I don't? I was lucky to have a cousin who does the stampin up and all kinds of awesome scrapbooking ideas. I came up with the idea because she made me an address book and thought it would be more fun to create a personal welcome/photo book. We started with mat board or some type of sturdy card board for the cover and back. Then went to a crafting store (JoAnn's or Michael's) and found some really fun paper/cardstock that is double sided patterns. Then I used a fun crafting machine called: Xyron 900. You feed the fun paper/cardstock through the contraption and it makes it a very durable sticker. I put it on the card board and then cut to fit it. I did the same with the inside of the cover and back. Then with the left over card stock I made pages for the inside to put whatever kind of information you want to put in there for your guests. The photo slips, OMG, what a pain. We ended up finding a bunch of photo albums on sale and had to take them apart manually for them to fit in the books. To bind the books together I used another contraption called: Zutter. Then I bought a bunch of fun stickers to dress the pages up a little bit. This probably sounds easy and really it wasn't too bad, I just didn't have a huge paper cutter that would of been very very helpful and saved a lot of time. But it was fun to be creative!! I'm sure you can find pre-made photobooks or journals at the craft store that would work as well. They have all kinds of stuff out there these days!!
  9. I just wanted to share with everyone what I've been working on to include in my OOT bags. It's very time consuming but worth it. If you have any questions please feel free to email me!!!
  10. Great review, I'm getting married there in May and we are so excited!!! Thank you so much for the insite
  11. I'm so glad some of you girls feel the same way I do about a "bridal party". I personally have been in my girlfriends weddings and it's always drama with the bridesmaids. Even friendships are lost. Craziness. I have decided not to have any bridesmaids or groomsmen or even MOH and BM. We were going to have our mothers as our witnesses but I just read that you can't have a relative be a witness so I actually have asked one of my good friends to be a witness. Also my father will not be able to make it to the destination wedding so I have asked my mother to walk me. I'm happy with my decisions and reading this thread made me feel even better to know I'm not the only one who's not having a bridal party. Thanks
  12. Hi, I've been searching all over this site on the music during ceremony but I can't find it unless I'm searching it all wrong. If I am reposting something that already exists I apologize. But I was wondering if anyone knows how the music works for the ceremony on the beach at the Majestic? I noticed you have options to choose from (band, DJ etc..) but I thought I read somewhere that they have a radio/CD player that you can bring your own music and play while people are being seated and whatnot for no extra charge? If anyone knows how this works please let me know. It will be greatly appreaciated. Thank you!!
  13. I know your asking for wedding reviews but here is the trip advisor site for the resort reviews: Majestic Colonial Punta Cana (Punta Cana, Dominican Republic) - Hotel Reviews - TripAdvisor But on this site look into the thread called: Wedding Reviews, there is some great information there!! I hope this helps you.
