Here's why: * First of all I can be done, just need the right tools. * You need to rent (buy), a big signal booster to get a steady signal from the location of your wedding. * The closest internet hub is at the restaurant by the pool (about 250 yards away from the ceremony area) * You will need a dedicated stream so you can upload with no problem. * Usually, all hotels have internet hotspots but their signal is kind of weak. * I am thinking, cabling from the hub to the site, a booster for the internet conexion and a dedicated server to stream live. Hhmmmm I should get this idea rolling right? Maybe next time, I can offer this service also right? Have a great day and too bad I wasn't available to do your ceremony! Marcos, You are right about needing the right equipment and internet access to make a live webcast successful. You also need streaming servers to allow you to stream to any location in the world. I'm certain most brides don't want to know or think about all the technical issues involved. What they want to know is can the broadcast their wedding live over the internet for friends and family to watch. This is were we come in. I Do Stream has the infrastructure in place to allow a bride to broadcast live a good quality video to as many guests as they wish. We usually work with a local videographer to make this happen. We can provide(rent) wireless range extenders, wireless video transmitters, etc. whatever it takes to bring the internet signal from the nearest hotel/building to the beach. We've successfully broadcast weddings live from the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, and Hawaii. Btw, we don't recommend using a webcam to broadcast a wedding live. Webcams are designed for someone sitting in front of it. There is no zoom and the built in microphone does not pick up sound that's more than just a few feet away. So unless you want the webcam to be right next to you and the priest/justice like a fourth participant to your wedding, webcams will be highly disappointing. Philip Ly philiply@idostream.com

  3. Hello Brides, I'm happy to be a new member of this forum. My name is Phil Ly and I'm a managing partner of idostream.com. I'm excited to share with you the services that we offer. We offer brides the ability to broadcast by invitation only your wedding live on the internet to share this special day with family and friends. You guessed it, this service is perfect for destination weddings. Some people might think it's just as well to upload a video to Youtube after the wedding for family and friends to watch. But let me say there is no substitute for seeing a wedding as it is happening live other than being there in person. We've received tremendous positive feedback from the viewers of the hundreds of live webcasts we've done. The response has always been what a joy it is to be able to watch a loved one say "I Do" live as it's happening. It makes viewers feel a part of the event. Brides may be distressed when a loved one, mom, dad or grandmom can't make the ceremony for whatever circumstances. Brides tell us that the live broadcast is the perfect solution. It brings families together. We have over 200 videographers partners throughout the U.S. that can provide this service to you as well as partners in popular destination locations in the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Key West, FL, and Destin FL. We can partner with any videographer at any destination site to offer this service to you. Where there's a will there's a way right? Technology has advanced enough for us to bring this service to you with high video quality as long as there is broadband internet access onsite. Our service is also very affordable. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about live webcasting and I'd more more than happy to help. Visit our website for more information at IdoStream live wedding webcast, broadcast and video streaming. Share your wedding live online for friends and family who cannot make it to the event. Phil
