  1. Hi everyone. I know i haven't been around for a long time. Since we called off the wedding...just been trying to get a new grasp on life. Anyways, I am going to Jamaica for a vacation. Actually, going to the Sandals resort in Ochus Rios. I was wondering if anyone has been there recently? I was asked if i wanted the villa room or a resort room. I was thinking villa would be nice. But my TA said they were getting run down. Anyone have any tips? What currency do i take? Do i exchange it there? Do i bring gifts for the resort staff? Things like that! Any info would be awesome! (And..yes....i am bringing a new guy...<winks>) Stormsong
  2. Thanks Morgan. I missed talking to you too! And, congrats on your wedding. I loved the video. Made me cry!!! You look so beautiful! And, i love your photos!! (I think the one in your siggy is hot. The one with you 2 straddled each other. Wow!) Love you guys!!
  3. My ex was surprised....he didn't see it coming. He was...abusive. Just took me a while to see it. He was angry ALL the time at everything. And took it out on me. I didn't clean enough, cook enough, the cats shed too much...everything was my fault. I just....realized i didn't want to spend my life like that. You know? I still wonder if i made a mistake....but...i don't think i did. I wasn't happy for a while...just...had a hard time admitting it to myself. <shrugs> I still miss it though...the wedding planning. Anyone need any help? lol.
  4. Hi All. Stormsong here...sorry i have been so quiet for so long. I have been having some personal troubles and whatnot. As of a couple of weeks ago, I called off the wedding and my fiancee and I broke up. It was hard...but i think necessary. Now i have to move...stuff like that. I may have a BUNCH of OOT stuff that i probably should sell...as well as Angels Flowers that i will be receiving that i no longer will need. (I am still a bit in denial and/or shock.) Anyways, i will post when i start thinking seriously about it. See if anyone is interested. I just wanted my friends on here who may have wondered where i disappeared to...to know what was going on. So...i am thinking i should go to Mexico in December when i was suppose to go to Cuba...whatcha think?
  5. Here is the template for the Ice Breaker Game.
  6. So, after finding out about the 5 hour layover in Toronto before we get to Cuba...i have devised a game to help break the ice among my guests. I created a game to help everyone start talking to one another. (Well, not so much created, as tweaked it to fit my needs.) I made it into a booklet, and will give it out at the airport in Toronto. Seeing as we are all travelling out of Toronto together, this works well for us. Game #1 Game #2 Game #3 Game #4
  7. Well, after stealing ideas from Stephanie and her wonderful first aid kit...i actually completed my FIRST DIY project today! I printed out my first aid bunny and put it on my Dollarama first aid kits. Soooo cute. I love them. I used sticker project paper to stick them on the plastic. Seems to work. I am debating putting something on the inside of the kits. We will see if i do or not.
  8. Thought I would share my invites. These were basically created in Vistaprint, and bought by my travel agent/wedding coordinator. We thought we would do somethign simple, knowing that we would make grand invites for our summer celebration. Our Gift Registry Card was basically a business card. Free from Vistaprint...but you et 250 of them. So, are left with a TON at the end!
  9. Ok, so I thought I would try using POwepoint myself, instead of stealing something from Morgan! <laughs> So, i started working on my menu cards. I really like how the printing turned out. (This is a first draft...as i still am uncertain on what our menu will be exactly.) i would attach a powerpoint file....but i can't seem to get it to work.
  10. I like the idea of personalizing my ceremony. At first, i thought it would be nice to throw something into the ocean...as an offering or something. Like shells, or rocks, or crystals. (Which, we still might do, only...maybe in private.) I found this ceremony, that I am going to tweak a bit. I really love the idea of...when you are steaming mad and being stubborn, and not wanting to say sorry....a rose says it for you. *********************************** The Rose Exchange In the elegant language of flowers, red roses are a symbol of love; the giving of a single red rose is a clear and unmistakable way of saying the words "I love you." For this reason it is fitting that the first gift you exchange as husband and wife would be the gift of a single red rose. Please exchange your first gift as husband and wife. You both have given and received one of the most valuable and precious gifts of life - one I hope you always remember - the gift of true and abiding love within the devotion of marriage. In every marriage there are times when it is difficult to find the right words, and the ones we love the most are the ones we can most easily hurt. There are times when it may be difficult to say "I'm sorry" or "I forgive you" or "I need you" or "I'm hurting." ______ and ______ I would ask that wherever you may make your home, that you choose a special location. And at those times when words fail, that you leave a red rose at that spot you have both selected -- a rose that will say what matters more than all other words..."I still love you; The other should accept this rose for the words that cannot be found, and remember the love and hope that you both have shared today.
  11. And here is the color of my MoH dress and my own wedding dress. MoH and my color for my wedding dress
  12. Here is the coloring of my MoH dress. I have a friend who hand dyes these, they are made out of silk. She is going to create a double layer sarong, that we can use the second layer as a top. I might get her to combine these two into one color...more blue green and purple, then just the two tones. This would be the style I am looking at. Though, you can wrap this hundreds of ways...just have to figure out how i want to wrap it. Or if I want to add a halter top...
  13. These were the starting point! And, I love them. But, upon adding them to items, like my brochure, they felt like they were floating. So, i tried adding a circle around them. (Keep in mind...i have VERY limited experience with working with graphics!) I wanted to add some purple to the monogram...but decided I think i like the blue one best!
