  1. Today's wednesday, there still some wind... But the worst has passed by, I think you can make it to your wedding safe and sound. High tides are gone, stormy weather has passed, now we are having the time of our lifes...
  2. Hi Marco, and everyone in this forum. Like every year, we are "starting" our hurricane season (for us it starts during August thru September), most of them miss us just like Jimena did, but, most importantly..News and Media in general, most of the times makes a big deal out of any situation "no nasty news, no sells", but still, we're all standing, everyone is safe and sound... Good day everyone. PS.- We're good to go guy; so, if you're in Cabo and wish to enjoy this magnificent weather along with an awesome view of the bay... How you gonna cal?? Ghostbusters!!!!!!!!!!!!!....
  3. Hi There. There are so many really good WC in Cabo for you to choose. I've worked with Varinia from Allure Event Designs, and she is really good; I've also worked with Adriana, from BBW, and she does an exceptional work, she has a lot of experience and she's a hard working girl. You can check they're websites here: Allure : Event Design Beautiful Baja Weddings, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, professional destination wedding coordination, event planning I can vouch for both of them, they're prompt to answer, very organized, they have really good ideas that can help you out. Ps.- They girls at BBW are also, budget friendly... (I Forgot to tell you that). Happy planning and Good Luck
  4. After a lot of thinking... Mango Deck..LOL There's a little restaurant, down town called ALCARAVEA... Just great, the food is being prepared right there and it has an excellent ambience
  5. Hi Melinda As far as I know, RIU does not allowed outside vendors, but Mango productions are good and I imagine that they must have some packages that would be cheaper than the hourly rate. If you want to try some other photog, you may want to check Tomas Barron, he does an awesome job and, I think, he might be on your price range. Tomas Barron - Pro Photo Video this is His web site.
  6. Hi Lisa. I know in the rules of this forum states that, if you don't have nothing nice to say about someone, just don't say anything... But, although what's happening to youis awful, it definitely is not a surprise, at least to me... Here's why, I've heard bad stories from brides & customers, also I witnessed an outside WC, being treated like crap, just because she used to work with them and quit. Yes, RIU is a cheaper AI, but not always less is more. I hate to say this, and I definitely wish that Riu's GM proves me wrong, but, I can honestly say, with only an inch of doubt, that they will NOT honor the past mails, it's a really wierd company and they're flaky on all the areas and to the town in general. Like I said, I wish they prove wrong, becasue you don't deserve this and I hope that everything works out for the best. Best Wishes
  7. Hi there I would go with what BBW said, after all, she does that for a living... If that doesn't work, look for a new one...LOL...JK Have fun planning
  8. Hi. There are some really good wine stores here, depending on waht kind of wine are you looking for. La Europea ECM de Mexico Tutto Bene The first two sell wine from almost all over the world and Tutto Bene is more southamerican wines, Argentina, Chile and some Mexican wine. Some good wines are, Yellowtail from Aussie, Monte Xanic from Mexico... You might be able to find some French, Spanish, Italian, South African and German wines also at La Europea.
  9. Hey Sara Both resorts are great. Personally, I would go with One & Only, I know it's kinda pricey, but if you're already looking between Dreams and O&O, for your wedding day, Palmilla will make it unique, their service, quality and all the perls of having a resort that is used by so many celebrities... I wouldn't even think about it, hell, I'll even invite the celebs...LOL

Funny story, I've been trying to answer to your post and got the error message like 3 times...LOL So, as you can see, all of us are having the same trouble, good thing the forum is undergoing maintenance. Ps.- Kathleen, sorry to hear about the Eagles, they where sooooooo clooooooose... Alhtough, I did put my money on the Cards..$$$$.. GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. And it's 100% Lupe's own recipe, 100% homemade.... Cheers
  13. Hey Mrs. D This is their website... SkyDive El Sol, Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, Mexico There are some nice pics there
  14. Hi Actually, you CAN bring your bouquett to the US, you don't need to hide it or anything, but you might want to keep it in your luggage, not carry on, and find something to keep it safe from getting smashed. The main reason why customs don't let you bring some stuff over to Mexico or USA, is pollution or insects that might be on the flowers, fruits, etc... in this case, the flowers are already dead, sounds nasty but it is, it takes days for a flower to loose its beauty, but since they've been cleaned, used, put on water, stay out in the sun, all the bugs fly out of it, since they need fresh flowers to stay alive. You might find a cardbox or talk with your WC or FLorist to arrange a box in order to take your flowers with you. Usually, most brides take their flowers with them, and up to this day, there's never been any trouble with the flowers. Hope this helps. Cheers PS.- My FI has been a WC to over 300 brides, and none of them have ever complained about this issue
  15. Hi I don't know how "girlie" this suggestion are but, anyways, here they go... You can try swiming with dolphins, at cabo dolphins If you like sailing, there 2 America's Cup sailboats, that I've heard it's fun Go on tour to Candelaria, is a little 100% local comunity, with some fantastic handcrafts that you can buy, and learn a little about the real local history. If you're an adrenaline junkie, there's skydiving... AWESOME, you land on the beach... Or like some of the ladies said, go to Mango Deck or The Office, they're both nice places right next to each other, but totally different from one another... Cheers
