  1. Hi Terra- I have MV info as well. I emailed you some Newport stuff- hope you got it.
  2. Hi- I've been absent for quite a while but I've made my way back. Very long story short, we ended up looking at the Cape but wound up booking in Newport. We found a beautiful place on Newport Harbor. Not on the beach, but on the water. I've got tons of info on the Cape and Newport so if you have any specific questions, let me know.
  3. I love this show! Mike and I watch it together and laugh our a**es off. I can be OCD sometimes but Jeff Lewis is nuts!
  4. I was just shy of my 31st birthday, and he was 31. I was in a relationship for 7 1/2 years (age 19-27, no engagement) and I thought I was ready then. Thank goodness that lazy bum never asked because I'm sure I'd be divorced now. Honestly I think 21 is a bit young because I'm not the person I was 10 years ago. But it can work- my parents were 19 and 21 and they are still together. I guess it depends on the people. Nothing in life is a guarantee- people get divorced who marry at any age.
  5. I ordered mine yesterday and my wedding is 6/19/09. They told me it will take 9 months, so good thing I found it! My sister's also took 9 months exactly. Her dress was Casablanca, mine's Modern Trousseau if that helps.

  7. I only know the south coast of Maine and you're probably not going that far south. If you are, I know a ton of places for you to visit.

  9. I feel for you! I'm glad to hear you are doing a bit better. I'm in a similar situation- thank goodness unemployment benefits have been extended! What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right??
  10. I just saw this post for the first time..... I totally understand how you feel. I did not want to go dress shopping AT ALL. Long story short, I found a dress that flatters my body type (as much as it can be flattered) and I am happy with it. Here's a picture: I went to a dress shop that I knew had larger sizes to try on and I started there. Just give them a call before you go to see what sizes they have to try. I found a style that I liked and then I found the dress that I loved, but the manufacturer's website said that the sizes only went up to 18. I emailed them directly and they said that they could custom-make a size for me. The referred me to a bridal shop in my area that carried their brand (not the particular dress) and they sent a sample to them so I could see it in person before I ordered it. It has been great and I ordered it today! The dress is Monika by Modern Trousseau if you're interested. They are based in Connecticut. Good luck!!
  11. I never thought I'd be excited about my wedding dress since I feel like a whale, but I am in love with it! It is by Modern Trousseau and they are awesome! They are custom making it to my measurements. It is going to be 9 long months waiting for it- I can't wait!
  12. I haven't been on in a few days and this was the first post I was looking for.... CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Welcome to the world Miss Ainsleigh!
  13. I'm going to the show here in Boston and I'm ashamed to say it will be my 6th show- the first one in about 15 years though. Unfortunately my best friend who used to go to all the shows with me will have a 1 month old infant and can't come. I'm very excited!
