He's out of California so you have to pay for is air fare and a couple night hotel stay. He was awesome though. He is really cool and down to earth. And he took so many pictures. In the cost he also did a half day engagement session the day before the wedding at different spots around PV. I think he's # is on the slide show to get his current rates. As far as my hair - Nicole booked it with a stylist from a local salon. I did a trial run a couple of days before the wedding which is highly recommended!! B/c unless you speak spanish you may need a translator. Thank goodness my step mom speaks spanish so she was able to translate what I really wanted the day of - for instance not so much hairspray!! They love the hairspray! Nicole arranged for the stylists to come over on a seperate boat around 2:30 before everyone else showed up. Ask Nicole for pricing.

The stairs weren't too bad. I was a little nervous about the stairs too when I saw them. I had wedge shoes and I'm pretty good at walking in high heels so I just went slow. You can always leave your shoes close to the bottom of the stairs if you want. I also changed into flip flop style shoes immediately after the ceremony. I would recommend that you not spend money on the shoes and just be comfortable.

Ann thanks for all your threads and advice on Las Caletas. It really helped hearing others experience of Las Caletas - especially when planning a wedding site unseen. On another note - congratulations - are you having a baby?

Thank you. My wedding dress was a monique lhuillier - spent way too much money on it but it was the only dress I felt good in. And I'm so glad I chose lace overlay b/c it was so hot and i was sweating so badly:) I'm glad I read Ann and "starchild's" thread before my wedding b/c they suggested I bring another dress to change into and I think that one was a Max Studio dress.
  5. Dan and I got married at Las Caletas on Oct 26, 2007. It was breath taking. Las Caletas is even more beautiful than I ever expected. It was truly a tropical paradise. For brides - I totally recommend going early with your bridal party to take advantage of the private beach, spa and bridal suite. Our day couldn't have been better - not a cloud in the ski and full moon at night! Here's a slide show of our day at Las Calets... Heather and Dan (you may have to cut and past link to your browser. Sorry I don't really know how to work this site and we=hen I tired to upload pics - it was invalid file) If any one has any questions about Las Caletas I'm very happy to give you any feedback. Heather

I've been trying to research restaurants in PV for our welcome dinner too. I've been looking into Spiaggia - do you know anything about them? How was your dinner at Barcelona tapas set up? Do you mind sharing how much it cost per person? The atmosphere I'm looking for is casual and fun - we really want our guest to meet and mingle so we were thinking instead of a full sit down dinner - just cocktails and heavy appetizers or buffet type dinner.
  7. YEAH! I was able to open them by right clicking on the red x. Learned something new today! I love a lot of candles too. Thanks for sharing your pics - this really helps so that I know what to tell Nicole. Thanks again!!
  8. Hi Jamy Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately I couldn't see the pictures you attached. Can you try to attach them again.
  9. We're having about 65 people and we're doing the deluxe wedding package. I'm using a photographer from Long Beach Ca. He shot a wedding at Las Caletas once and found him through some links that Nicole forwarded to me. He's a little expensive b/c he has to travel but I didn't want to skimp on my pictures. Here's his info - in case other Las Caletas brides view this thread... Chris Griffiths Imagery Immaculate Photography 562.537.6844 [email protected] Imagery Immaculate Photography I also found a photographer, Cooper Carras, through this forum. He's done a lot of weddings in PV - he also was offering 10% off for Las Caletas brides. I really liked his work and thought his pictures were awesome but I had already booked my other photographer. His website is: Cooper Carras - Destination wedding and fashion photographer You've been a great help. Thanks for responding to my thread! I can't wait to post my pics of our wedding!
  10. Ann- Thanks for replying to my message so quicly! We're getting married on Oct 26th. Ok I have a lot of quesitons for you. First - Your pictures are beautiful. It's great to see actual pictures of weddings held at Las Caletas. I thought about doing the fans too. Where did you buy them? And how do they set up the table cards and seating cards? Also where did you get your idea for the table setting - did you show Nicole pictures? I've been putting together pics for her, but I know that they are slightly limited on what they can do b/c they have to boat everything in. Finally -Did you change out of your dress before the boat ride back? Thanks for any feedback or information you can provide!! Heather
  11. I'm getting married at Las Caletas this October and I'm soooo excited. It's great to hear such amazing reviews from everyone and the pictures you posted are awesome! I'm trying to decide how to decorate the tables for the reception and wanted to know if anyone had pictures from their Las Caletas wedding they could share or websites where you were able to get some good ideas? We've also decided to have a trio band and a DJ - can anyone tell me a little about who they used and how the music was? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Heather
