Thanks to everyone for their replies and words of advice! I calmed down a little and thought about it, and of course, you ladies are right!! I wouldnt want to travel all that way by myself! I think it was more "the nerve!" haha. After more research this guy hasnt even booked his room yet, or contacted the TA (our room block is full & the no penalty release date was Aug 10 so at 25 rooms booked we arent adding any more), so let's see if he even shows up!!! You ladies are the best

Hi! Did anyone have an invited guest decide to give themselves a plus one?? One of my fiances friends has RSVP'd yes and added '+ a guest'... His invite did not say and guest, and judging by his reply he hasnt even identified who he is bringing!! I am torn between thinking that it is always more fun to travel with someone, but this is our wedding.. and if he is just bringing some random along (or even a buddy????), then am I right in thinking I don't really want them at my wedding?? They can laze by the pool all they want, but....!! I know this is not specifically about Azul but you ladies have been so helpful with everything else, I'd love your thoughts!!

MMK0386 your pics are gorgeous! I have a question for anyone who used one of the unlimited events cocktail party. They stated that it was only beer, wine & soda, plus a signature drink for the cocktail event. We have qualified for unlimited events & would like to use one of these between our ceremony & reception. I was wondering if anyone has done this - and if guests were able to go to the bar and order a drink of their choice? I think I am confused about it being at a bar area but being informed they can only have certain drinks...? Thank you so much & I hope someone can shed some light on this for me! - Rachael.

I thought I posted this a while ago, but It is definitely true about the DJ. My coordinator, Elizabeth Riff, advised that they were having too many problems with outside vendors, so now all they allow is the photographer & videographer. Everything else you MUST book through LOMAS, even if you offer to pay the vendor fee.

Ohhh at least you can have an outside DJ! New rules are no outside vendors except the photographer!! I'm short so I dont like to go anywhere in a flat shoe, haha, I think we are going to do the poolside as well. Which videographer did you use? I am going to go with the spa for hair & makeup, and just make sure I either do a practice or leave pleny of time for fixes if need be! Pretty nerve wracking ha. Well, should we try??!! I am getting married at Azul Fives on Friday, October 25th! Ceremony in garden gazebo and am trying to decide whether to have the private reception on the beach or poolside (I am short, I'd like to wear shoes!) Does anyone have any comments on the pool or beach reception location? We just hired Citlalli Rico to be our photographer and am soooooo excited to use her! Her communication so far has been amazing. And I finally bought my wedding dress yetserday - that has been a tough choice! What's everyong have planned so far?

I was advised by my WC that the ONLY outside vendors they now allow is the photographer! Even with the offer of an $800 vendor fee, they still said NO to an outside DJ! Obviously I am disappinted that I do not get to select my own vendors for my wedding. I did a search for "DJ All Music" and it brought up hundreds of threads (those words are pretty common!!), can anyone give me some feedback on their experience with DJ All Music? I have seen the pricing, there is no mention of a dance floor, so that's one question I have! Thank you!

Azul Fives actually has the EP option but we are doing the all inclusive plan for everyone! Let me know if you pick it! There's an Azul Fives 2013 thread that is sooooooo dead haha, I want to try and liven it up!!!!
