Wedding Packages at the ROR

Recommended Posts

i was going to do the Royal package, but it seems the only real difference is the spa and the 12 pics you get. I dont really like getting massages and we already booked the deluxe suite ( didnt want to take the chance of an upgrade not being available) so we might change to the free package and pay for our added extras.....we'll see in a couple of months....Marlon

Thats my plan, I didn't feel the difference in price between the free package and the upgraded one was worth it. I'm going to pay extra for the things that are most important to me and it doesnt work out to be as much as the upgrade.

Looks like we'll be there at the same time :) My date is the 8th.

It seems like most people just get the free package and do upgrades. The good news is you don't have to choose one til you get there and see what most cost effective for you. If you do pick one now you can always change your mind when you meet with Chandlyn. Personally, I'm going with the free package and getting upgrades because even with the royal or caprice I would be upgrading many things (flowers, cake, etc.) anyway. They kind of mislead you by saying the bigger packages accomodate a bigger wedding but from what I've heard they just add the amount of chairs you need for the ceremony for free. If you upgrade on the cake, it will feed more people anyway. No matter what package you get, you'll probalbly end up upgrading things anyway so why not get the free package? The biggest difference in the packages are the spa services which, in my opinion, is not really worth getting a more expensive package. Decisions- Decisions.

she definitely right....I would go with the free package and do all the upgrades afterwards, it just makes more sense...I was wondering if anyone knows if the pastor has to be used...my uncle lives in Jamaica and he is ordained so I wanted him to participate in our wedding, but Im gonna really hate it if we have to pay for the other pastor as well....

I am down for the royal package, but after reading several posts on this site I've emailed Chandlyn about changing my package to the free. It just makes more sense to pay for what i want. I am bringing my flowers with me and the decorations that come with the package are not what I want anyways. And as far as pictures go, I prefer to just pay for Michael's fees and the pictures on the cd with all rights to print when I get home. When I added it up it was cheaper to go the free package route for me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
