I have sent emails regarding the menu and no response
I sent email regarding the rooms and no reponse until my mother called the General Manger

Are you using the hilton florist?

I have had issues with Mara since day one. emeline used to get back to me so quick, sometimes within the hour I sent it. Mara would take two weeks to get back to me. Which doesn't sound liek a lot but when you have an important question it feels like eternity. I've also had issues with her not really understanding what Im saying. (i.e requesting pictures of bouquets with orange and hot pink gerbera daisies and getting 10 pictures of pale pink roses). Things have gotten a little bit better. I sent her an email yesterday and she responded about 3 hours later. Thinking maybe she just focuses on one bride at a time and all the others get put on the back burner. If I dont hear back from her I usually resend my email and just say "not sure if you got my email, but I was wondering.... and just C&p ing my last email. She usually responds within the next day. Didnt go with the florist she recomended (Mazarte). I emailed them over a month ago to send my some price quotes and didn't hear back from them. In the meantime I contacted Cabo Flowers, which are much cheaper, and Donna has been awesome to work with. Coming up with excellent ideas and emailing me right away. Mazarte email me today and I just told them i went with another florist. oh wellll...

I am still having problems with Mara emailing, when we called the GM of the hotel , she called me and emailed the same day. Mazarte has been good about responding to my emails

I hate to bother you but can you tell me if Mara is still the wedding coordinator at the Hiltonhuh.gif I am a member of the "Best Destination Wedding Forum" and a few of the other Hilton brides and I think she may no longer be working with you since we have recently sent her emails but have not gotten any replies. If that is the case, can you please give me the name of the new contact. Also, can you please forward my email below (from 2 days ago) to the correct person. I would like to get this information as soon as possible.

Here is the response I just received from Carolina. At least they now know a bunch of us talk and are discussing our concerns on here. Hopefully that'll get them to move their butts a little quicker when it comes to correspondence.

Mara just got back to me. It's amazing how quickly people respond when you cc: others. Good luck ladies. Be sure to mention the forum in your conversations with her. I'm sure she doesn't want to take a chance ruining the Hilton's reputation on here.

Its funny, i really do think she focuses on one bride at a time. I have been back and forth with Mara about 4 times within the last day and she wrote back almost right way. have faith ladies, there are a few people i have spoken with that absolutly LOVE her!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
