Anyone order grooms outfit from Island Importer

Recommended Posts

We're considering ordering from there as well. Does anyone know if the white pants are see through!! That's what FI's planning on wearing, but that's my biggest concern!! How were they for size? Are they a small make, or is a large an actual large!!??

Thanks!!

We ordered our grooms and others clothes from Beach Wedding Attire & Dresses, Linen Wedding Pants, Shirts, Guayabera, Hawaiian, Havana, and Linen Suits and they were amazing.

They were about 160.00 a guy and custom made to fit each guy.

Your able to call them on the phone and talk to them so that you don't screw up the sizes or anything!!

Perfect!

FI and our GM's ordered their pants from them. FI has the ivory linen pants and the quality of the linen is far superior than anything you'll find at Macys or Dillards.

I washed them before taking them to get hemmed and OMG - for linen in the dry Colorado air - they feel so soft and sumptious compared to the linen pants I bought him at Macy's.

My original dresses for the girls were from there and when we got them in the mail, they were terrible. They were so thin and felt cheap. Also, the dress was supposed to be the high/low hem, well, it looked like they had a tail hanging btw their legs. Now, I did order the guys shirts from them and they turned out great. Good luck.

My fiance ordered the khaki linen pants and the ivory linen oasis shirt. We were a bit...underwhelmed...in that the shirt was see-through in a bad way and the linen pants were rough and shrunk a bit even with cold gentle washing as specified by the tag. I would suggest buying something in person, that you can try on and be sure of. We could have returned the items, of course, but we kept them for him to wear for everyday use. They just weren't nice enough for our wedding day, even though we weren't looking for fancy.

We just received our order. I am super happy with the clothing! Seems to be great quality and fits according to the measurement guide. Our biggest issue was UPS, such a joke of a delivery service! We paid for overnight shipping and it took 9 days to receive the package. I contacted Island Importers for a shipping refund and they did it immediately and basically no questions asked. I literally called 10 minutes ago and I have already received their refund invoice via email.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
