ROR Past Guests

Recommended Posts

I have 3 girlfriends who I suggested room together because 1 really wants to come to the wedding but doesn't have a roomate. So again, I suggested they all room together. I thought it'd be great for the other 2 cuz then their rates would go down with a 3rd person. They are getting a Junior Suite. 2 of them know each other & are really cool. The 3rd friend only knows 1 of the other 2 & is cool with her. I know that they'd all get along with each other without any problems.

Well then the 2 asked me about the beds. How many beds are in a room? I said, 2 doubles I suppose. I mean, I know there aren't 3 separate beds. One then asked me, well, if there are 3 of us & 2 beds, where's the other chick gonna sleep? SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....

Even though I think I know, I figured I'd ask for clarification. In a junior suite there are only 2 double beds correct?

I'm thinking of getting a roll-a-way bed but I'd have to call to find out if thats possible, altho the other 2 girls already told me that they WILL NOT be sleeping in the roll-a-way if there is one.

What am I to do now? Tell the other friend she can't go cuz the other girls have problems with the sleeping arrangements & don't wanna share beds? Or tell her I couldn't find her a roomate?

I haven't told her yet that she could or couldn't go. I told her I would check with some friends to see if they would mind sharing a room. I have to let her know by Monday.

wow, thats a little rough. I was in the smae boat as we had an odd number of guests, but luckily someone booked last minute...I dont know if I would feel comfortable asking them to pay so much to come and then have to sleep on a pull out bed, unless its a really close friend...but good luck, I hope it works out.

I know what you mean. Sigghhh...I'm all out of suggestions. I'm thinking I'm going to have to tell her that she can't go. : (

Yes it really does. Out of all the things, can you imagine turning someone away who really wanted to go & who you really wanted to gohuh.gif Especially considering how so many of my friends backed out at the last minute & can't make it. Now to have someone wanting to come & then having to turn them down because I can't find them a roomate really sucks. I mean, she already told me that she didn't care who it was, as long as they could get along, she wouldn't mind. She didn't expect for them to be buddies & have to do things together, she just needed someone to split the cost with.
I thought I would find someone but it just hasn't happened.

Oh that would've been perfect. Funny about the date, May 14th is my bday & we were originally looking to get married then, especially since thats the day he proposed. But the prices were higher in May than they were for April, so we went with April thinking it would be better for our guests. In retrospect since so many people backed out, we should have just went with what we wanted!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
