Need Suggestions for a new Digital Camera

OH one more thing... the new canon sd cameras have a lot of features that most people dont know. like color selecting and swapping. like in the movie schindlers list where verything was black and white but the red dress. you can select a color and only that specific color will show up. so if you are photographing your flowers they will all be black and white except the red or maybe your bridal party will all be black and white but the color of the BM dresses. also it has time lapse video so you can do some fun stuff with that.

I've read the 1000 is a cheaper model. It does look a little cheaper. The pictures look the same to me, but the case seems a little cheaper. The 700 & 800 lines are nicer.

I like the little eye hole. I bought the SD600 when the SD620 or 630s came out. The only difference was the had a slightly bigger screen, but no eye hole. I think it's nice when it's really bright outside & can be hard to see the LCD screen. My mom is also confused by the screen, so she looks through the eye hole. We take trips with her every year, so it's good to have that for her to be able to take our picture. Anyway, it's not necessary, but I like it.

Getting IS (image stabilizer) is probably good too, if you want to spend a little more. My camera doesn't have it. I wanted to stay under $200 (this was last year).

They also make really cute red leather cases that fit the cameras.

I've got a Nikon CoolPix that I love, if you want to look at a different brand. I've actually had two of them (the first was a 2.0MP).

Has everything I need.

Another thing I've found that is super helpful is a memory card that has a direct feed to a USB port (part of the card folds out of the way). LOVE it.

for low light you cant compare when it comes to canons.. i do lots of concert photogrhaphy so constantly low light shots and ive shot with both canon and nikon and they dont compare to the canons. id say they are 25% better image quality in low light then nikons..

I have a canon powershot. Its the SD 750 and I absolutely love it. I had an accident with my SD 630 and I liked the cameras so much that I went out and bought another one. The main reason for going with the 750 is the 3 inch screen. They are also light weight and small so you can bring it anywhere.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
