Looking back, did I need to start in January? probably not, but I guess it depends on how busy your salon is. I had my first fitting a couple of weeks ago for my May wedding, and it was mostly to figure out the bustle, length, and take the dress in generally... I guess with things like that it doesn't matter how much weight I lose! I got a call this week to schedule my second fitting and her earliest date was in March. After that, my last fitting should hopefully be the week before the wedding for any last minute changes.

OK, well that makes sense. I guess will stick with what my salon told me. I only have to have the bustle done and the bust taken in (boobless, ugh).

I think you're fine. My 1st fitting is Feb 7th & the last is in March. But, my wedding date changed from March 27th to April 11th. So my fittings were actually based on the March wedding date. Once I changed the date, I never told the salon so I never changed the fittings. I"m wondering if I should do that now. If not, I'm going to have to pray everday from the last fitting in March to the wedding that I don't gain an ounce!

My salon told me 3 weeks for my first fitting, before I leave on May 1st. I wonder if I should request it a bit sooner?! lol, I can believe some of you May brides have done your first fittings already!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
